I think they should do more traffic work. I know they don't like to because it takes up time in court, but it has long range results. We have plenty of local bus service, nobody has to be driving around unlicensed, unregistered, etc. Plus nobody stops for red lights or yields on left turns any more. Legitimate stops for legitimate violations would do a lot to clean up the streets, I agree. It's like everything here has been "let go" because the people who are supposed to be doing something about it don't care because they don't have to live here.

I haven't seen anything else about a shooting on Duane Avenue, just that one mention in the Gazette. I would say that was odd, but actually it is the new normal for reporting.

I still haven't seen anything else about a shooting outside a bar on Duane Avenue. Maybe it was a mistake? I notice Albany is having a fair number of shootings as well.

Of course the mayor won't release any info on anything right now.  Probably has the super riches of his downtown cronies to sue news news media if they put the TRUTHS in the news about Schenectady.   After all, it's election time, right now they don't want the RESIDENTS to know the truth.

Even DVOR (the Dumbo Voice of Rotterdam) isn't speaking either, the mayor swore him to secrecy.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
