Well, they are the only two republicans out of the five, which means everything is always their fault from now on.

2/5=majority

2/5=someone to blame when you have a population that can't do math.

Makes good sense.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I do not care what party they are. The platform they ran on was saving REMS. Villano and Larmour went to every meeting and supported REMS. That makes them accountable. It's almost April and they have not mentioned REMS once. Why are we just finding out now there is no contract signed? I would say they have dropped the ball. We need stability and accountability for REMS, the Town and especially the employees. As I said before they should have made sure that contract was signed when it was awarded. They need to follow through and do the job they were elected to do.

good cop/bad cop

consolidation and purchase of said taxpayer subsidized company......

it wasn't their fault it was the governor's fault

More politicians running on a platform they really do not support just to get elected. Three months without a word about this. Where are they now? Do they not care? Every employee was there to get a contract. Now everyone needs to attend the next meeting and ask Villano and Larmour why its not signed. We need to make a stand.

Villano and Larmour?  Who were the REMS employees going to vote for - the Democrats trying to award the contract to Mohawk?  I don't recall Repubs having REMS in their platform.  REMS had nowhere to turn BUT to the repubs.  BuFARTi gave the repubs the pro-REMS vote, the repubs didn't have to do a thing.

I've asked these questions. I've sponsored resolutions with Councilman Larmour (which were defeated by the administration) to donate very expensive life saving equipment to REMS. Councilman Larmour (who also happens to have a DJ business) is donating his time to play for the upcoming REMS fundraiser. We regularly speak with members of the organization ( the last time being as recently as Wednesday). Obviously those who are writing these things are neither a member of REMS nor an attendee of town board meetings. Please email me at jvillano@rotterdamny.org and schedule a time to meet me at town hall with the REMS guys and we can go over my voting record by watching the videos on a laptop. If you prefer me to watch them alone they are available online.  Please don't make assumptions without any knowledge of the facts.

Now i'm really confused.

We thought that rems was going to run 'their' ambulance service like a 'business'. Just like Mohawk does. That IS what they said.....yes? They were going to 'hard bill', just like Mohawk and any other private business....yes?

And yet rems is going to have a fundraiser (with the help of a sitting ROTTENdam council member) to keep them a float???

Is there going to be a fundraiser for Mohawk too?

It appears that rems needs to get it's act together. We aren't living in the 50's anymore!!!

They need to 'do business' as a 'business' and not beg for money. I don't remember the  last time Mohawk or any other private business did that....does anyone else?

And a sitting council member, dem or rep, should NOT have gotten involved in this 'fundraiser'.IMHO
It just may come back to bite him. rems mislead the people by saying they were going to run rems like ANY OTHER private business and their are obviously politicians that backed that statement.....a fundraiser is proof it was a lie. imho

No signed contract.....no als $$$.....and now a fundraiser!!! Ridiculous....IMHO!

and then what is METROPLEX...   a better way to "beg" for money???......or maybe politically correct........

Rotterdam will remain "deceitful" until the Regime is voted out......JV  and RL have every right to stand up and do what they think will help the town.

and so far as the Town goes.....don't you think the fee for brush is a way to beg for money????....what's wrong with that picture...

THE POINT IS........it was REMS THAT SAID they were going to run it like a PRIVATE BUSINESS...not anyone else.....THEY DID!!!

THEY said they were financially solid....not anyone else.

And now they are having a fundraiser?? Looks like it was all a lie!!!

And as far as sitting council members getting involved as the TWO are....appears to be nothing more than political pandering! Just like Tonko, Ajello and the rest of the bunch.

told ya there was no difference between the two parties. imho

and don't bring up METROPLEX/GILLEN or the new brush fee in ROTTENdam....you are mixing apples and oranges.

So you are saying that even tho rems LIED..........and they, as a self proclaimed private business, should hold a fundraiser to stay afloat....supported by sitting council members....is OK? It's ok that they NEVER repaid the als $$$ that they owe the taxpayers?  It's ok that they have yet to sign a contract? WOW!!!

REMS DIDN'T LIE

when Mohawk was in the game...they had internet put in at the Senior Center, cots put upstairs.....and the convenience to be able to park vehicles in the

Center parking lot.......did they pay for all this???.....I don't think so......therefore, when Mohawk was in the game....REMS lost

revenue because of the hooplah.....the contract is in legal hands......again chaos that need not be......question and confuse....

.therefore, no real answers....

go to the meeting and hear HB talk about how REMS is not paying bills etc.....it's another ploy to put Mohawk in this town...

there is never any good word about anything that the residents Want.....it's all about what the REGIME wants.....and they call this fair

and open democracy..hidden agendas.....and greed for power......

all this adds up to presumption and opinions that make for more chaos......and misinformation.

BT    go to the meetings...and if you are not a resident like some of these bloggers are......keep your opinions to yourself....

free speech is a right....but only when is counts to those concerned....in  other words....ROTTERDAM RESIDENTS..
