You'll be glad you had a gun when....

Someone like this kicks in your door

or some punks think you are a easy victim

But you will always have those like box who would rather be a victim

Absolutely and they check all guns before entering the show if they are for sale. Not that it is needed but you don't want anyone handling your gun if they don't know how to function it, a cop shot someone last year at a show because he didn't know how it worked Even though with that incident gun shows have one of the safest records around.

LMAO @ SAFE!

From last year's “Gun Appreciation Day”:

Quoted Text
Gun activists designated last Saturday “Gun Appreciation Day” in an attempt
to highlight their opposition to gun safety laws. The PR stunt proved to be more of
an embarrassment, however, when 5 people were shot at 3 different gun shows on
Gun Appreciation Day. On Friday afternoon, an Iowa gun dealer closed out the week
by becoming the sixth person shot at a gun show. The man claims he was “showing
off a .25 caliber pistol he thought was unloaded when he slid the action of the gun.”
The gun was not unloaded, and a bullet went through his left palm.
After this incident, police found a second loaded weapon on the wounded gun
dealer’s table.

GunHugger Murders Two

A West Virginia man who deputies say had a large number of weapons shot and killed two men
over the weekend and then wrongly told police that they were trespassing on his property.

According to The Herald-Dispatch, 62-year-old Rodney Bruce Black called 911 on Saturday
to say that he had shot brothers Garrick Hopkins, 60, from the Milton area, and Carl Hopkins Jr., 61,
because they were breaking into a shed on his property.

However, the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department determined that the shed had recently been
purchased by Garrick Hopkins.

“Garrick Hopkins took his brother to his newly purchased lot to show him the property where he
and his family were to build a new residence in the coming weeks,” the sheriff’s department said
in a statement. “The outbuilding in question was on the Hopkins property and contained no
belongings of the suspect Rodney Black.”

WCHS reported that Black pulled the trigger without giving any warning.

Deputies said that Black admitted to the shootings and he was charged with two counts
of first-degree murder. He was being held in the Western Regional Jail on Monday.

A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also seized from the suspect’s home by deputies.
(No Surprise There!)

From last year's “Gun Appreciation Day”:

6 incidents, 2 caused by a police officer. And that is on Gun Appreciation Day, you would think on such a day with millions of guns being viewed and handled thousands would have been killed but nope only 6 injuries. What place do you think would be safer? schools, malls, workplace, parks, nope all of those places seen more deaths and injuries and they're gun free zones Hell even your hobby skiing has caused more deaths and injuries then gun shows, lets ban skiing, think of the children.

6 incidents??? HA!
I posted 6 but there were hundreds (if not thousands) of incidents that day.

Quoted Text
Just days after President Obama unveiled the most ambitious gun control proposal
in decades, the first national Gun Appreciation Day was held on Saturday. It was organized
by a Republican consulting firm urging gun owners to stand firm against the proposed new curbs.

But based on news reports of the last 24 hours, it didn't go very well.

The Raleigh News & Observer reports that three people were shot when a loaded shotgun
accidentally discharged at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that one man was left wounded after an accidental
shooting at the Medina Gun Show in Medina, Ohio.

The Indianapolis Star reports a man was injured as he was leaving the 1500 Gun & Knife
Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds when his gun accidentally discharged.

And gun shows accidents weren't the only ones yesterday. There were many more:

UPI reports a Dallas man was arrested when a gun discharged in his pocket while he was
shopping at Walmart, injuring two other people.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports a six-year-old girl shot herself in the face while handling
her father's gun.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports a 14-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed
his 15-year-old brother with his mother's handgun.

A Google search pulls up dozens of similar stories.

Your story listed 5 out of the 6 injured at the gun shows, the rest of the stories had nothing to do with gun shows   Which brings me back to my original comment that gun shows are some of the safest places to for a large gathering, and everyone is armed

NONE.. 0%... not one of the incidents featured a gun saving anyone's life...
ALL...100%... Every incident involved someone being shot by a gun accidently.

Safe???
Wouldn't a license plate convention been safer? No one shot by a license plate.
or
A sewing machine show... No one shot by a sewing machine.
or
A Beer glass show, or a Bikini show, or a cat show, or a tattoo show... etc etc etc.

GunHuggers and their guns are a danger to themselves and the general public.

What’s the No. 2 Cause of Accidental Death in Children?
June 19, 2013 | 56,993 views

By Dr. Mercola

Drowning is the fifth leading cause of unintentional injury death in the US, where about 10 people die from drowning every day.

The risk is even greater among children aged 1-4, who have the highest drowning rates, and it remains the second-leading cause of accidental death (second only to motor vehicle accidents) for kids 1-14.1

What’s shocking, however, is that many drowning deaths among children occur when the child is being supervised and may be only a short distance from an adult. Occurring quickly and quietly, a drowning can happen right before your eyes, before you even realize what happened…
