no sewers...no development other than government entities

#1) The residents won't support sewers when the issue comes up for a vote.

#2) Dunkin Donut new store NOT a government entity, Stewart's new store NOT a government entity, new outdoor cafe seating at the Redwood NOT a government entity and a new sub/sandwich shop opening NOT a government entity .....

and that is just the tip of the iceberg for the great things coming to Hamburg Street and Rotterdam.

Oh, but WHO was cheering and shaking those pom poms for the dems, the town goverment, and the town a few days ago proclaiming a renaissance.

Renaissance?   How about addressing the home values, sales, and prices; tax base and taxes.   Ah TOTAL ABSOLUTE SILENCE (which of course  is no surprise at all).

i didn't personally, but i heard that the picture they showed of the proposed building looked nice.

hopefully it may keep the 'undesireables' out. a friend of ours was talking with a rpd cop....told our friend that there is crap going on all the time that NEVER hits the media!! starting to sound like SCUMnectady.....yes?

although, when ya drive thru ROTTENdam, especially altamont ave.... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the decline!!!

Not "being" nasty or negative.   Rather STATING the negative and nasty FACTS, which are supported by EVIDENCE   (you know--"evidence"--that thing that proves the truth, that thing that YOU NEVER provide to support anything you say)

Stating the NEGATIVE which is FACT and supported by EVIDENCE is a NECESSITY so that the negatives can be acknowledged and addressed in order to improve, and in these discusssions, improve live for the TAXPAYERS, for the RESIDENTS, as opposed to the the leaders and their wealthy benefactors helping each other and excluding the average people.

Hey...here's an idea..........elections come around pretty much yearly....yes?

Since the dems are the present day demons.....let's see if there is a GOP out there that will campaign on abolishing the metroplex......stop funding proctors......taxing GE.......abolish tax exemption for all of 'the state street miracle' businesses........cut cops benefits.......sign a contract with mohawk ambulance........abolish the county leg and replace it with a board of supervisors............get rid of the 'senior gossip center'!!!

..........bet ya won't find ONE.!!!

they too are the same coin......different colored condom!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

the present 2 party system is corrupt! voting is a waste of time. both parties 'select' who will be the best puppet for the party.

the ONLY way to let this corrupt system know that WE KNOW they are corrupt.............IS NOT TO VOTE.....PERIOD!!!!

don't support any of their political hacks or their acknowlege their corrupt system!!

I for one cannot wait to vote, for the very first time I am ashamed to say.  I had my "that's the last straw" moment this year.   I went from being sad about what has happened to Rotterdam, to angry.  It is so awful to feel helpless.  I think pretty much all of us feel a little helpless, or hopeless maybe.  I grew up in Coldbrook, I used to walk to "Barkers" and Carl Co. at Shoporama with my friends.  We used to go to the movies in Barkers plaza and walk home late at night when we were teens, and we had no reason to fear for our safety.  Now, as an almost 50 something adult, I cannot bring myself to go to Hanaford after dark.  Sometimes I am a little scared during the daylight hours.  Why do I have to live like this?  It is too bad we cannot all work together toward a solution.  I have no idea what the solution is...but there seems to be enough intelligent people on the forum who if could work together, might come up with something.  But alas, I live in a dream world!!

Barkers was the first department store that was built in the plaza where Hanaford is.  I think I was in 5th grade when it was built, about 1974 maybe?  It was when the whole plaza was enclosed, there was an indoor walkway from the Hallmark store all the way around to Barkers.  There was a Thom McAnn shoe store, and a Denbys.
