Good for you Harry Brand.

He said the city looks like a WW2 bomb-out while giving money to Galesi.   He didn't say the words, but he does mean THE NEIGHBORHOODS, those places WHERE PEOPLE, WHERE TAXPAYERS, LIVE.

He is so right.

TO OVERWHELMING APPLAUSE!

Oops, error

Rest of the city (the areas, the neighborhoods, where TAXPAYERS live, where RESIDENTS live, ie., OUTSIDE OF downtown).

The correct term he used was ".....looks like a WW2 wipeout."

I don't want to state anything other than what the people, the taxpayers are saying, those who appear and speak every week, they are really beginning to dig to find the truths.   We should all help them along.

Perazzo is another Proctor's employee masquerading as a politician. But she cares alot-about her Mayoral run. She also said that taxes weren't a problem in the City.
Anyone DEM moron voted for $500,000 more to millionaire Galesi should be dumped. Proctor's needs to start paying a fair share PILOT and open it's
unused Key Bank for the summer lunch program. The entire City is collapsing under debt caused by 3 decades of DEMS imploding together. McClane needs our
support to get on the other side of the rail with Vince Riggi and Joe Lazzari.

And is the PART TIME COUNCIL REP Perazzo getting her health insurance paid by the financially struggling city TAXPAYERS (many of whom do NOT have insurance themselves)?

Or is King Philip providing it to employees?

The taxpayers of the city AND COUNTY have a BIRTHRIGHT ENTITLEMENT to have the answer

dumb people, Galesi NEEDS that money! Don't you see that? How do you know that Galesi doesn't need a new car or new shoes for his grandkids? Stop being haters!

If you were to post a picture of the DSS building somewhere with national exposure, and then go to footage of the city council giving mealy-mouthed explanations of why it was good and necessary to hand over more dough, there would be shock and outrage that the FBI wasn't all over this little Bell, California.
Nobody cares about Schenectady because the media helped smear the city's reputation and cover up what was really going on until the bad name they gave us was fact. News flash: a "revitalized" downtown is not necessary for a livable city. No, really, it's not. If Proctor's is all that is keeping some of these businesses hanging on, I say let them go out of business. The worst thing that happened to Schenectady, I mean the single worst incident, is when our mayor decided it was a good idea to raise taxes nearly 25% to get a better bond rating. He actually got some kind of award for that, from one ofthose groups that has so much financial expertise they didn't see the collapse coming. In hindsight (and in foresight) that was a huge mistake, yet the nimrods who inhabit the same city I do pretend not to see it. It is in their best interests to pretend they don't know the taxes are too high. It is against our best interests.
Detroit still has industry, everybody forgets that. They also have a lot of decent neighborhoods, still. They blame their problems on the people who left, but they also tax the hell out of those remaining. How much do you want to bet there are a lot of "helping" agencies in the city? There are also vast numbers of immigrants. In the past, large numbers of immigrants coming into an area and replacing those who have moved on was a good thing. Nowadays, with the lack of unskilled jobs availability and the overly generous welfare benefits, it creates further strain. I have seen people who work in agencies involved with immigration flat out LIE when it comes to the fact that we are bringing people in, in droves, who are going on programs such as SSD, who never paid a penny into the system.
When it was revealed that the Tsarnaev family was on the dole, that blew the lid off that particular PC cover-up.
I'm just bringing it up about the immigration because we have many Detroit-like conditions right here, and there are people blaming Schenectady's problems all on GE and on the fact that our houses aren't new. Not the reason.
BTW, how come our local leaders aren't piping up about the governor's plans to take away more state jobs? Working together works so well, but it only worked so far for BS and that woman who made the funny commercials about the miracle on the Mohawk.
