mc1............you HAVE to know that it would be NO different today if the reps were in control for the last decade!! You and everyone else has a right to be pissed.....but don't put all your pissed eggs in one basket. IT IS THE SYSTEM!!! Like i stated before.....if all of the dems rich supporters were to suddenly sway their financial support to the reps.......NOTHING WOULD CHANGE!!! It's time for everyone to open their eyes and see it for what it is!!!
Our system (BOTH DEM AND REP) is corrupt and we are their working slaves on the wheel that they don't give a crap about except for the tax dollars they can take from us..........What are YOU and EVERYONE ELSE going to do about it?
Fortunately, there is Vince Riggi and without him, probably 99% of what the public has learned would never have been 'discussed' by the other sheeple on the Council. Now I'm not saying that one man can lead the City out of this DEM mess, but I am saying that there ARE morally and ethically honest people like Vince still left in this City. That in itself is a bloody miracle!!
The total corruption of what the County and City has done with the Plex, Galesi even Golub for that matter has killed our taxbase...both property/school AND sales tax alike.

I agree. But my point here is that everyone is blaming the dems, when in fact, we would be in this same situation if the reps were in. IT'S THE SYSTEM!!. I hear that Golub and Galesi are reps....perhaps someone could verify that. Altho I don't share 'all' of your optimism, I do agree that there are yet some other 'vince riggi's' out there.....but collectively, and the way i see it now, the financial power houses, such as galesi, will throw their money to the ones that will 'work with them'...... and obviously visa versa.

Working together helps to dupe the masses into believing both sides have the interest of the people when they take your money and give billions to bankers, corporations, foreign governments, while barely leaving the average taxpayer with enough money to live on.
You give the poor a free phone that cost a few million, they're happy. You give the middle class a few thousand a month in social security and medicare, they won't even question the hundreds of millions that are fleeced from them to give to the millionaires. You give the millionaires millions of the taxpayer dollars and special tax breaks, they're happy. And with some of that money, they will hire a few wage slave to keep the poor and middle class working, so their money can be collected and continue the cycle. The rich get millions, the middle class gets thousands, and the poor get crumbs.

Totally get it Bumble! Up until Vince Riggi actually broke through and became an elected official, I would never have had an optimistic thought about the future of the City. It is refreshing to watch him meeting after meeting being the ONLY voice of reason on that Council.
He gets it. He sees the corruption and says it out loud for every taxpayer to hear.
The City has one morally grounded individual on the Council....let's get a few more and get this City out of the blackhole of corruption which has plagued it for decades.

Even long time Blue Dog DEMS in the City are waking up to the fact that only Vince Riggi represents the oppressed taxpayers and must run for Mayor. No one can defend the out of touch elites that have destroyed the City tax base/small businesses and are working together to do the same Countywide.
