No one is irrelevant in a democracy.

Sure they are, their voices are only relevant in a constitutional republic.  In box's totalitarian utopia, if the democratically selected majority chooses to disregard the constitution protecting the minority and crush all minority opinion, that is legitimate.

That's why the original government was designed as a constitutional republic.  Box hated that form if government, he loves presidential decree, loves legislating from the bench, hates states rights, and hates CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS(no time for that).

Rand Paul and Ron Paul are irrelevant.  Wonder why they are even wasting time on writing this article?

MiniMe may play a major role in the 2016 elections, especially if he joins with Bimbo Palin's new Party.
Rand may even serve a useful part in reforming the Republican party. The more TeaBaggers who join
Palins Party, the less influence those crazies will have in choosing an actual Republican to run against
Hillary.

Although I most often vote for Democrats, I would like an actual choice in elections.  With the TeaBaggers
ruling Republican primaries, the candidates from the right get more and more Radical and less and less
electable.  If Palin/Rand syphon off the worst of the Right... more moderate Republicans have a chance
of winning primaries.

A Constitutional Republic only works if the elected representatives of the people are actually willing to at least let their constituents voice their opinions.  There is at least one elected Federal representative from upstate New York who has actually stated publicly -- that he really doesn't need to hear from constituents (especially if they disagree) because he has already made up his mind on the issues, and who has on several occasions been rude to and/or just turned his back and walked away from constituents who attempted to ask questions and voice disagreement on an issue or issues.  (For the record, it should be noted that the constituents were not hostile or rude but just polite, concerned citizens who wanted to have a conversation with their elected representative.)

They listen to the highest bidder. It's the only one worth listening to - it gets most of them elected in the corporatacracy.

If each policy had a stand alone vote, this country would look much different.  That is why pork, changes to the tax code, and multiple laws are loaded into these bills.  You may be against fracking but in favor of more funding for Planned Parenthood, so they combine them in the same bill.  Just like the defense contractors, they assemble their war machines by building different parts in different factories across the nation.  So if there is a vote to cut defense spending, it will affect workers in nearly every state, creating political pressure to continue defense spending.

If Obamacare was put on the ballot - it loses.  If missile strikes in Libya to overthrow Gadaffi is put on the ballot and publicly debated - it loses.  Getting involved in the Syrian conflict on the ballot - it loses.  If billions in foreign aid is put on the ballot - it loses.  If decreasing taxes is put on the ballot - it wins.

So what does this video have to do with the topic, anyways I remember you box saying how age is a factor when it came to candidates, so did you change your mind?

The Topic... "SO IT BEGINS".  Are we discussing the 2016 presidential election???

Age matters, both too young or too old.  Ronny the ReyGun was elderly, but had IMO a capable
Republican to step in with Daddy Bush.

(as the video pointed out) If anything were to happen to "president McCain" the country would have
been saddled with the 1/2 time governor Bimbo Palin for the duration of his term.

I would hope that Hillary's VP is as qualified as Daddy Bush was to take over the office if needed.

Nobody is arming the militias here, they're arming themselves with their own money, Obama on the other hand is arming AlQaeda backed rebels with our money, says more about Obama then it does Rand

Always a pleasure to spend time with my friend Glenn Beck.
Today, while in Washington he stopped by for a great visit.

Sen. Rand Paul lashed out Monday against neoconservatives on Twitter for supporting the “military junta” in Egypt and arguing for continued monetary aid to the country, whose armed forces recently ousted the sitting president, Mohamed Morsi.

“In Egypt, governments come and go. The only thing certain is that American taxpayers will continue to be stuck with the $1.5 billion bill,” the Kentucky Republican sent out his message in two back to back tweets. “In Eygpt, democratic authoritarianism is replaced with military junta. American neocons say send them more of your money.”

The Twitter slam comes right behind a July 4 op-ed that the libertarian senator wrote for The Washington Times expanding on the very issue.

“In Egypt, protest is met with tear gas, manufactured in America and paid for with American taxes. When Egyptians protest, they protest against their government and also America for subsidizing that government,” Paul wrote. “Despite the fact that Mohamed Morsi recently convicted 16 Americans of political crimes in a show trial, the Obama administration still sent them over $2 billion this year.”

Paul points out how the United States has fallen into a similar problem when the nation kept on supporting Morsi’s predecessor, Hosni Murbarak throughout decades of martial law.

“Today, we give the same billions and fighter jets to Mr. Mubarak’s successor, Mr. Morsi, who the protesters now see in the same light as Mr. Mubarak,” Paul wrote.

“American tax dollars flow no matter which despot rules,” he added. “But worse, due to our aid and support, Egyptians see Mr. Morsi and America as the same.”

Rand Paul 2016!   It just gets better every day!

Randy Paul Aide Has History of Neo-Confederate Sympathies

A close aide to Sen. Rand Paul who co-wrote the senator's 2011 book "spent years working as
a pro-secessionist radio pundit and neo-Confederate activist, raising questions about whether
Paul will be able to transcend the same fringe-figure associations that dogged his father's
political career," the Washington Free Beacon reports.

Ya can take the Senator out of RedneckLand, but ya can't take the Redneck out of the Senator.

Quoted Text
From 1999 to 2012, Hunter was a South Carolina radio shock jock known as the
“Southern Avenger.” He has weighed in on issues such as racial pride and Hispanic
immigration, and stated his support for the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

Quoted Text
Prior to his radio career, while in his 20s, Hunter was a chairman in the League of
the South, which “advocates the secession and subsequent independence of the Southern
States from this forced union and the formation of a Southern republic.”
“The League of the South is an implicitly racist group in that the idealized version of the South
that they promote is one which, to use their ideology, is dominated by ‘Anglo-Celtic’ culture,
which is their code word for ‘white’.”

Oh NOOOOOOO!  It gets even worse!!!

Rand Paul's best buddy (Pic above) Jack Hunter (or as he's better known “The Southern Avenger”)
Share much, including their veiled secessionist dialogue:

Hunter was last listed as chairman of the Charleston chapter of League of the South in 1999, according to the group’s website.

By the early 2000s,Jack Hunter was providing anonymous political commentary under the moniker the “Southern Avenger” on local rock radio station 96 Wave.
Some of Rand Paul's close advisor's comments:
Quoted Text
In one 2004 commentary, Hunter said Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth’s heart was
“in the right place.”
“Although Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth’s heart was in the right place, the Southern Avenger
does regret that Lincoln’s murder automatically turned him into a martyr,” he said in 2004.
He later wrote that he “raise[s] a personal toast every May 10 to celebrate John Wilkes Booth’s birthday.”

What a guy!!!

And:

Quoted Text
“Not only are whites not afforded the same right to celebrate their own cultural identity –
but anything that is considered ‘too white’ is immediately suspect,” Hunter continued. “The term
‘diversity’ has become nothing more than a code word for ‘not white,’ and it’s a shame that just
because we have fair skin, we are always denied fair treatment.”

WOW!  Rand is lucky to have Jack Hunter on his team for the 2016 election.  Rand appearing with
Jack will almost guarantee that Rand will grab the White Racist Redneck Vote!

Hunter and Rand Paul... What a team!!!

Hunter defended his pro-secessionist views as recently as 2009.

Quoted Text
“In my early 20s, I was a full-blown, right-wing radical. As a member of the Southern
secessionist group the League of the South, I argued seriously for the states of the old
Confederacy to break away from the rest of the Union,” wrote Hunter in a Charleston City
Paper column. “I thought it might be better to tone down the radicalism and at least try to
appear more respectable. But when I came across an old column of mine last week, I realized
that I never really changed. I’m still just as radical or crazy, depending on your perspective.
In fact, I might be getting worse.”

I wonder how many votes Rand Paul will gain from his 2016... "Elect me and the South will Rise Again Tour?"
