If the GOP gets it's head out of it's butt and nominates someone like Chris Christie, it might be a race against Hillary. Not much else out there who could even be considered a viable candidate.
Chris Christie can't win, the left would love for him to get the nomination.

Exactly so why all the constant smear attacks and articles, you obviously fear him but I'm starting to think all these "opinion" writers fear him to.
Fear Him??? As I posted above, the only reason I even bother mentioning him is due to the large contingent of Paul Groupies on this board. No where else in society either right or left do I hear Paul mentioned as a viable candidate. Look at the last Republican Primary... Did Ron Paul even make a dent in the nomination??? Did he have any kind of following? His only role possible was as a spoiler to split the vote for legitimate candidates.
Rand Paul has no support among Democrats, and little support among Republicans. So who is going to vote for him??? TeaBaggers??? Libertarians???

Box you fear him, if you and these other people thought he was nothing then they wouldn't waste their time writing about him. You can try to deny it all you want but we know the truth. You continuing to try to deny it makes you look even more dumb, actually keep it up it is pretty amusing watching you make a fool of yourself.

I posted about Ron Paul... Do I "fear him" too??? I've posted about Jimmy McMillan "Rent Is Too Damn High" party... I really fear him. I've posted about Dick Cheney Shooting his friend in the face... Maybe any one near Deadly Dick should fear him. I've posted about gays, Conservatives, GunHuggers, Liberals, Libertarians, Dogs and even Hummingbirds... Do I fear them too???

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said that no other person in Congress “has a stronger belief in minority rights” than himself. That contention would seem to be at odds with his past statements about states rights versus civil rights and his ties to neo-Confederate groups.
Paul said that he will continue his efforts to reach out to African-American and Hispanic voters. He conceded, however, that recent revelations about a key aide involved with a far-right neo-Confederate group could dull the impact of his message of inclusion.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie "heatedly denounced the growing libertarian drift on national security in the Republican Party that is favored by Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, and others in the party."
Said Christie: "This strain of libertarianism that's going through parties right now and making big headlines I think is a very dangerous thought."
He added: ""These esoteric, intellectual debates -- I want them to come to New Jersey and sit across from the widows and the orphans and have that conversation. And they won't, because that's a much tougher conversation to have." New York Times

Donald Trump "has long resisted calls for him to run for president" but tells Robert Costa that, at age 67, he's considering a bid.
Said Trump: "I'm looking. I have a large following of people who are tired of seeing this country ripped off, and taken advantage of [by] everyone who does business with us. We used to be the smart one of the block, and now we're the dummies on the block. They want to see me, and I want to see them."
"Trump cautions that it's early. But for the first time in his life, he's preparing to potentially put his business work on hold. Behind the scenes, he's examining how his family could manage his operations on an interim basis, should he decide to run."

"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
The Republican Party’s hawks are finally saying it out in the open: This aggression will not stand, Rand. After three years of watching the GOP’s non-interventionist wing gather strength, there are mounting signs that a more combative set of national security conservatives have reached their breaking point. Now, prominent conservative leaders in what used to be considered the Bush-Cheney mold are increasingly taking the offensive against their intra-party rivals.
New York Rep. Peter King said this week that he will explore a 2016 presidential run to wrest control of the defense debate from small-government advocates such as Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Ted Cruz of Texas, and warned that an America-first candidate would stand little chance of defeating Hillary Clinton. Perhaps the most dramatic provocation to Paul-aligned conservatives came earlier this month, when Republican national security activist Liz Cheney – the former vice president’s daughter – announced a primary challenge to Wyoming Sen. Mike Enzi, a low-key incumbent backed by Paul and a number of other Senate colleagues.

Christie just came out attacking Rand and other libertarian leaning politicians, as I said before the GOP is dead unless they start to embrace the younger generation conservatives, they lost a ton of support during the last election. However this isn't about parties, this is now a fight between those who want freedom and those who want masters.

"However this isn't about parties, this is now a fight between those who want freedom and those who want masters." I'm sure that's how YOU see it. But if it isn't about parties... why did Daddy Paul run as a REPUBLICAN, you know in the REPUBLICAN PARTY? Why did Daddy Paul stand on the stage with all those REPUBLICANS in the REPUBLICAN PARTY in the REPUBLICAN PARTY debates? Why is Baby Paul running as a REPUBLICAN, IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY... If it isn't about PARTIES???
If he had any balls he'd run as a "Libertarian" (unless he is really not a Libertarian at all... Maybe Rand is LINO.)
Bernie Sanders runs as a Socialist and gets elected time and again as a US Senator... but Randy doesn't have the balls to stand up and run as a Real Libertarian... but instead he hides under the cloak of the REPUBLICAN PARTY. Which IS what all this IS about.
