It was assumption based on the FACTUAL STATEMENTS of the federal government that never charged him with treason for giving secret documents to a foreign government(your argument is the feds MAY not have charged him with everything) Along with the fact journalist Glenn Greenwald has given multiple interviews discussing the Snowden documents.
You are incapable of recognizing these facts, and continue to believe there is a possibility a foreign government was given the secret documents, even though the federal government never charged snowden with that crime. Until there is EVIDENCE of passing secret documents to a foreign government, it didn't happen. You remember, "innocent until proven guilty"? What there IS evidence of, is him passing secret documents to an American journalist, about how the USG spies on its own citizens and citizens of other nations.
Again...FACTUAL STATEMENT, Snowden did not give secret documents to foreign government. The Government from whom the documents were taken has never charged him with that crime. He gave the documents to an AMERICAN JOURNALIST and the government from whom the documents were taken from charged him for that crime.
