ROME - A Schenectady man is being held in connection with a double-homicide in central New York.

Police in Rome captured 26-year-old Aaron Welch this afternoon, after an intense search through the woods using dogs and helicopters.

Authorities say he was seen running from a neighborhood where two people were stabbed to death this morning.

At this point, Welch has not been charged with the murders.
