WASHINGTON, DC, February 14, 2011 (ENS) - President Barack Obama sent a proposed fiscal year 2012 budget of $3.7 trillion budget to Capitol Hill today that cuts programs in every environmentally-related agency. The common theme in statements from administration officials is "tough choices." The EPA's FY 2012 budget cuts deepest into the combined budget for the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds. The FY 2012 proposal of $2.5 billion is a decrease of $947 million below the 2010 funding level.
I think this is has something to do with Schenectady not getting sewage treatment funds. A falling deficit, while wasting money and simultaneously allowing America's cities to fall to ruin, is not something to brag about, if it is true.
This is not health care for deadbeats, as many Republicans assume. It is a highly moral piece of legislation: the people most affected will be the working poor and lower middle class, people who have jobs, often at small businesses, but don't have health care. (The unemployed and unemployable poor already have health care via Medicaid.) It is a matter of simple fairness that if we, as a society, provide health insurance to those who don't work, we also provide it to those who do."

That's Joe Klein's opinion, he doesn't really know what he's talking about. The tip-off is he's still talking about the Republicans, like this is a political issue, which it isn't. I am not impressed.
It is a matter of simple fairness that if we I, as a society individual, provide pay for health insurance to those who don't work, we I also provide pay for it to those who do."

I work for a company that I have put time in to earn my healthcare benefit just like my hourly wage now YOU want to take it and share my sweat with someone else so I lose my benefit that I worked for, even after paying for MY OWN schooling to get the job I have.....

We've all heard the Rabid Right's lie that "ObamaCare will fail because the young won't sign up for it"! From a very Red State, Kentucky, the numbers prove that the Right is (as usual) Wrong!

In Kentucky, about a third of folks going on Medicaid and getting qualified health care plans are under 35 years old. That's what's going to happen around this country. People are going to sign up for this. it will take a while to get it in process, but I guarantee we'll make it work because it's good for the American people.

not quite... The "rate" of annual increase of the annual deficit spending over the previous is lower, yes...but the actual total annual deficit continues to go up... It's the same BS argument that Dems use when they scream about "cuts" to programs... to them a reduction in the rate of increase is a cut...
That's like saying you got a cut in your wage because you only a 2% salary this year when you received a 5% increase the previous year....

The amount by which expenses exceed income or costs outstrip revenues. Deficit essentially refers to the difference between cash inflows and outflows.
And Under Obama, that rate is FALLING. IS that a good thing or a bad thing???
Republican TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH & G.Worst Bush's Iraq Oil War are the reason we are in so much debt!

Obama admin. knew millions could not keep their health insurance By Lisa Myers and Hannah Rappleye
President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years
Four sources deeply involved in the Afforrdable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”
None of this should come as a shock to the Obama administration. The law states that policies in effect as of March 23, 2010 will be “grandfathered,” meaning consumers can keep those policies even though they don’t meet requirements of the new health care law. But the Department of Health and Human Services then wrote regulations that narrowed that provision, by saying that if any part of a policy was significantly changed since that date -- the deductible, co-pay, or benefits, for example -- the policy would not be grandfathered. http://investigations.nbcnews......ealth-insurance?lite

I hope you're happy...because voting doesn't change ANY OF THIS.......it's a circular conversation with no solutions except 'this time we're going to take it from these people to give to these people for a couple of generations until they die off, as long as the status quo keeps the same'
