Walt Disney Co. is offering full-time positions to 427 part-time employees at Walt Disney World in Florida who worked enough hours to qualify for health benefits under the Affordable Care Act.
The offer was made to staffers who put in more than 1,500 hours in the past year, the threshold at which employers will be required to offer coverage, said Ed Chambers, president of the Service Trades Council, which represents 37,000 at Disney parks in Orlando.

In the first two hours that New York’s exchange website was open to the public, 2 million people visited the site. That’s a huge chunk of the population that stands to benefit from Obamacare. Approximately 2.6 million New York residents are currently uninsured, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Thank you President Obama for sending more armed guards to the WW II Memorial to keep those pesky near-dead white men out, then you did to Benghazi
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
Veterans Occupy World War II Memorial Closed Because of Shutdown (Update, Wednesday: After realizing the veterans were going to keep coming, the Park Service figured a legal way around the shutdown rules which let's them through.) It's hard not to love this story. McShane reports the vets now "have control" of the memorial and don't seem keen to leave. They also didn't get past the guards without a little help. Apparently Rep. Steve King helped distract a park police officer while the vets tore down the fences keeping them from their memorial visit. It's now a party down there, with Iowa veterans joining in on the fun. Shane reports park police have completely given up trying to keep people out of the memorial.

.Actuarial science is the discipline that applies mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk in insurance, finance and other industries and professions. Actuaries are professionals who are qualified in this field through education and experience. In many countries, actuaries must demonstrate their competence by passing a series of rigorous professional examinations. Actuarial science includes a number of interrelating subjects, including probability, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, financial economics, and computer programming. Historically, actuarial science used deterministic models in the construction of tables and premiums. The science has gone through revolutionary changes during the last 30 years due to the proliferation of high speed computers and the union of stochastic actuarial models with modern financial theory (Frees 1990).
you've been 'valued'....hahahahahahahahahahaha

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

That's 2 million page views, not people... It also could be the same people trying to log on to the site, but couldn't..quit, and try again.. Web analytics are notoriously inaccurate

A sweeping national effort to extend health coverage to millions of Americans will leave out two-thirds of the poor blacks and single mothers and more than half of the low-wage workers who do not have insurance, the very kinds of people that the program was intended to help

Because they live in states largely controlled by Republicans that have declined to participate in a vast expansion of Medicaid, the medical insurance program for the poor, they are among the eight million Americans who are impoverished, uninsured and ineligible for help.

when the government says 'millions' we who don't know/have millions have no reference and it seems large to us as opposed to actually knowing the ratio.....
ooooo,,,,aaaahhhh the government said 'MILLIONS'....but they have a TRILLION dollar debt...WTF gives?
millions/trillions/billions.....the perception of millions is small....people understand that millions isn't really that big or grand...just a bunch of millionaire hollywood shiny folks who come and ask for your money to give to the poor, then go on TV to show off their 'crib' or 'cribs'.....
so when the government (who acts like hollywood) talks about millions...the value is lost.....
it's ONLY millions....could be 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 , 9 etc....but do all the millions actually want healthcare...??? these are only the uninsured.....
again...it's subjective....and it's extortion
