Lets see... Just who is it who wouldn't have any health care insurance??? The Rich? Of course they are insured. The middle class with good jobs? Most have health insurance with their employer. So who are the Uninsured Americans? They come from all walks of life and all incomes but the majority are obviously the poor, or near poor. The people government is meant to help. Of course the taxpayer has always funded the health care for the poor, only it was done with little or no preventative care and often at the most expensive venue, the hospital ER.
they still get a 'different' medical care......there are different levels and now a bunch of folks will be on the government subsidy that were NOT on it in the past because places like GE(who was the first big domino to fall) are DUMPING.....
AND THE GOVERNMENT IS BACKING GE UP.........it's a precedent......and YES there is and WILL be a difference just like there is now and YES the medical care system WILL be backed up....it's already happening.....
the taxpayer is now funding GE.....in a most bizarre way because now the IRS is the police.....
Sigmacare is an EMR system that is GIANT and comes from GE....GE retirees lost their injunction.....RING A BELL?
I hope everyone is well schooled in their own healthcare so they do not have to use the medical care....
CLINICAL PATHWAYS come from the insurance companies that win the cock fight set up by the government. clinical pathways will over ride your MD and YOU.....
factors: 1. age 2. diagnosis 3. co-morbidities(chronic underlying diseases) 4. availability of treatment nearby(regardless of expertise) 5. triaged through the system, not just by the person next to you(wait times increase)
it's already happening

While 65 percent of existing policies will see an increase in premium costs for 2015, the median increase will be just 4 percent. (When was the last time we had health care premiums at just 4%)
“In the 41 states releasing exchange participation carrier data, the number of health insurers increased by 26 percent between 2014 and 2015. In the 19 states with complete fillings the number of products grew 66 percent”
So competition is increasing... the opposite of what the GOP said it would do... and The cost of health care increase is at the lowest rate in what? 50 years? The opposite of the GOP predictions... AND... WHERE IS THE GOP HEALTH CARE PLAN FOR AMERICA??? ANYONE???

there is NOT competition.....it's a cock fight that has NOTHING to do with service....it has everything to do with putting the mandates into practice which in turn control the cost at YOUR expense....
you really do not understand the supply/demand chain....THIS is a control issue much like how fast food restaurants control their cost....even if it is making you pay for $.10 dipping sauce.....and having the rolls be 1inch shorter so that less meat will be used to make the sub look full because YOU won't know any different.....

A care pathway is a complex intervention for the mutual decision making and organisation of care processes for a well-defined group of patients during a well-defined period. Defining characteristics of care pathways include: (i) An explicit statement of the goals and key elements of care based on evidence, best practice, and patients’ expectations and their characteristics; (ii) the facilitation of the communication among the team members and with patients and families; (iii) the coordination of the care process by coordinating the roles and sequencing the activities of the multidisciplinary care team, patients and their relatives; (iv) the documentation, monitoring, and evaluation of variances and outcomes; and (v) the identification of the appropriate resources. The aim of a care pathway is to enhance the quality of care across the continuum by improving risk-adjusted patient outcomes, promoting patient safety, increasing patient satisfaction, and optimizing the use of resources. History[edit] The clinical pathway concept appeared for the first time at the New England Medical Center (Boston, USA) in 1985 inspired by Karen Zander and Kathleen Bower. Clinical pathways appeared as a result of the adaptation of the documents used in industrial quality management, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), whose goals are:
Improve efficiency in the use of resources. Finish work in a set time. In April, 1991, VNA FIRST, in consultation with the Center for Case Management, Inc., South Natick, MA, developed the Home Health Care Map Tools (now called VNA FIRST Home Care Steps Protocols.)
In 2005, the telehealth clinical pathway was introduced to standardize telehealth visits and telephone calls in homecare.
In November, 2011, Eventium,LLC, a Greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin based company, acquired the assets of VNA FIRST and Innovative Healthcare Solutions.

Selection Criteria[edit] The following signals may indicate that it may be useful to commit resources to establish and implement a clinical pathway for a particular condition:
Prevalent pathology within the care setting Pathology with a significant risk for patients Pathology with a high cost for the hospital Predictable clinical course Pathology well defined and that permits homogeneous care Existence of recommendations of good practices or experts opinions Unexplained variability of care Possibility of obtaining professional agreement Multidisciplinary implementation Motivation by professionals to work on a specific condition

Your analogy is a little bit off.
In the world of manufacturingor anything for that matter- a quality product is one that meets the cutomers requirements. A Cadillac is a quality product But so is a Chevy because it meets all of the requiremnts for being a Chevy. It doesnt have to be a Cadallac to be a quality product..

Some health insurance is only like a good Chevy .
The customer doesn't pick the health insurance plan that meets their personal requirements. It is legislated, you are told you must buy a Chevy, you are penalized for buying a Cadallac, and you can't buy a scooter.

No...my analogy was correct....
we ARE the car with the mandated airbags/antilock brakes/daytime running lights/antitheft system jammed up our a$$es via the manufacturing(medical insurance) line.....
you see, the ACA also mandates patient compliance, via tracking, much like the black boxes in cars today.....why?
so the insurance companies(government regulated) get their fair share and regurgitate back what it thinks it our fair share....
the IRS is their bull dog and your care provider will police you from birth to death......
however, I do like your analogy comparing chevy and cadillac.....but I'm pretty sure the public would like to think that suing the cadillac owner would net them more income.....
I think the ACA is a yugo

The economy has now gained nearly five times more jobs under President Barack Obama than it did during the presidency of George W. Bush. Unemployment rate has dropped to just below the historical average. Real weekly earnings are up 1.7 percent. Corporate profits have nearly tripled, and stock prices have soared. The average premium for a benchmark “silver” health plan in the Obamacare marketplaces rose only 2 percent this year, and consumers had more plans from which to choose.

Even Gallup’s polling is showing President Obama’s growing momentum. According to the Gallup Daily Tracking poll, President Obama’s job approval rating has risen to a nineteen month high. By margin of 50%-45%, those surveyed approve of the job that President Obama is doing.
