As Boxy continues to post drivel, Obama continues with shenanigans with the (u)ACA.....

FLASHBACK..... 2 weeks ago

On a conference call with reporters Tuesday afternoon, officials at the Department of Health and Human Services insisted that March 31 is the firm deadline to sign up for Obamacare. "We have no plans to extend the open enrollment period," HHS official Julie Bataille said. "In fact, we don't actually have the statutory authority to extend the open enrollment period in 2014."

But then something mystical happened.....

With Moochelle spending millions in China, the last Pokémon revealed himself on the South Lawn and Obama caught it with a well placed chip shot using a Poke ball.

With that the ground opened up and revealed the mighty sword, The Power of Greyskull!

With this new found power, the extention to sign up can be made!!!

And *Poof*....

The Obama administration has decided to give extra time to Americans who say that they are unable to enroll in health plans through the federal insurance marketplace by the March 31 deadline.

Federal officials confirmed Tuesday evening that all consumers who have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by Monday, will have until about mid-April to ask for an extension.

Under the new rules, people will be able to qualify for an extension by checking a blue box on HealthCare.gov to indicate that they tried to enroll before the deadline. This method will rely on an honor system; the government will not try to determine whether the person is telling the truth.

Thanks He-Man....Errr....Obama!

Why Employers Will Stop Offering Health Insurance

By ROBB MANDELBAUM

Ezekiel J. Emanuel: The exchanges have to work.Stephen Crowley/The New York TimesEzekiel J. Emanuel: The exchanges have to work.

Here’s a prediction: By 2025, “fewer than 20 percent of workers in the private sector will receive traditional employer-sponsored health insurance.” The source of this claim? Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, in his just-published book, “Reinventing American Health Care.”

Dr. Emanuel is an accomplished oncologist, medical ethicist and academic (and contributing opinion writer to The New York Times). And, of course, he’s no stranger to politics: He helped craft the Affordable Care Act as a health policy adviser to the Obama administration, when his brother, Rahm, now the mayor of Chicago, was chief of staff. The book is a full-throated defense of the law (its subtitle: “How the Affordable Care Act Will Improve Our Terribly Complex, Blatantly Unjust, Outrageously Expensive, Grossly Inefficient, Error Prone System”).

In it, Mr. Emanuel argues that in the next two or three years, “a few big, blue-chip companies will announce their intention to stop providing health insurance. Instead, they will raise salaries substantially or offer large, defined contributions to their workers.

this is bullcrap!!! they will NEVER pass the savings on to the workers!!! the top 1% will keep the savings for themselves and their already bloated salary!!
told ya the dems and reps are the same!!!!!
we are now a ONE PARTY SYSTEM!!!
corporate welfare at it's best!!

this was done to benefit the RICH ONLY!!!

And the single payer option will be the law of the land... just as ObamaCare was intended to be.

ACA just means access.....it doesn't equate to quality and never will....one payer is still governed by the taxpayers/political
podium pucks just like SS/medicare and anything else that is 'one payer' that can be manipulated by the 'good cop' 'bad cop'
political machine.......

the problem is that when stuff gets taken out of the medical treatment 99% of the public wont understand it or even why or will
even notice it...nor will the public understand patient compliance, because of course that's a term only used for inmates/slaves.

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Health-Law Sign-Ups Top 6 Million,
Enrollment in Exchanges Surpasses CBO Estimate

The White House said Thursday that more than 6 million Americans have signed up
for private health coverage through state and federal exchanges since they opened
in October.

The number—released just days ahead of the March 31 deadline for most people to
enroll for this year—surpasses the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office's revised
estimate of 6 million people who would enroll in private health plans for 2014.

Guidance from the Department of Health and Human Services dating back to July 2010 estimated that “40 to 67 percent” of the 14 million consumers in that marketplace could lose their policies due to turnover in the individual insurance market, NBC News found

Health and Human Services Secretary Katherine Sebelius acknowledged in a hearing Wednesday that a “majority” of those in the individual market would end up with plans with better coverage while “others will have to choose” an ACA-compliant policy.

43% of 14 million would be 6 million.

So no actual FACTS, no link of FACTS, just some estimate of what will happen 4 years in the future.

Cicero's site carries more truth than the BS that's been coming out of this administration.

For Every 14 Cancellations, One Person has Signed Up for Obamacare

MacIver News Service | December 16, 2013

[Madison, Wisc...] More than 5.6 million individuals and families across the country have had their health insurance policies cancelled because they are not in compliance with the regulations of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) according to a new report by the Liberty Foundation.

In a report released on Friday, the Liberty Foundation found that the President's promise, "If you like your health insurance, you can keep it," was false. California and New Jersey residents were hit the hardest, with one million and 800,000 cancellation notices respectively.

Wow! Estimates from the Department of Heath and Human Services aren't facts to box.  BUT, the White House claim they beat the CBO estimate and 6 million are enrolled in Obamacare is a FACT.

YER GREAT BOX!

Know how Boxy knows that 6M people 'supposedly' signed up?

"The White House says..."

And for him, that's good enough.

But for the rest of us who are not muppets, there are no hard numbers to look at and scrutinize because none of it can be verified.

We don't know really how many have signed up.

We don't know the age demographic breakdown. (The entire law pretty much rides on this)

We don't know the economic breakdown of those who signed up.

We don't know percentage of those that just signed up but haven't paid.

We don't know the breakdown of how many signed up for Medicare v. private ins.

The only thing we have is Boxy parroting "The White House says..."
