Highbridge Pizza got flooded yet again. The owner got the same response yet again
Town says it's not their problem County says it's not their problem City says it's not their problem Amtrak says it's not their problem
Ch 6 goes to Rott Town Hall.
Buffardi said he's never heard of this before!!!!!
Maybe the pizza place should go to metroplex. ROFL. NAH. Plex would rather they out out of business since they are a long time taxpaying business.
P.S. Watch the cowardly cuckoo DV (cowardly = fearful; cuckoo = ignorant) -- fearful of showing his ignorance of how his dem buddies at the town, city and county can't work together to address the flooding, hewill hijack this post and start talking whether the pizza and other foods from there are good or not good in his opinion.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
That area of Guilderland Avenue on the town-city line has flooded almost - if not in fact - every year. Although I would say by the pictures that it looks like it was much worse this time.
I was at the bottom of Crane Street hill waiting for the light as that storm started but before it flooded -- by then I was westbound towards Glenville on I-890. Glenville had some serious washouts and flooding along Route 5 going towards Amsterdam.
There are a number of problem areas for flooding in Rotterdam. There is that stretch of Guilderland at the town line, Sunrise Blvd, the stretch of Broadway between Jasmine Thai and the back end of the park, the underpasses on Guilderland, Curry and Helderberg by the railroads, Highbridge Rd - and of course certain parts of 5S in the junction. One can pretty much place a bet that these same areas will become flooded if there is a major thunderstorm (like we had yesterday) or an extended period of heavy rain.
That one picture of Broadway looking towards 890 and Mont Pleasant reminds me of the old pictures from the great floods in Schenectady in the late 19th and early 20th century. There is one old picture that shows folks paddling canoes down Broadway during a flood in about the WWI era.

But YOU cheer and shake those pom poms for YOUR buddy dems to wildly spend the taxpayers money to build new buildings for their millionaire cronies, rather than spending the taxpayers' money to fix these areas that flood!!!!!!!!
So DV, how come you REFUSE to speak about the report - YET AGAIN - that home sales prices in your dem city of Schenectady have FALLEN again!!!!!!!!!!!
How's that city doing, everywhere outside the city of Schenectady (and the town of Rotterdam), sale prices are UP. But YOUR DEMS have caused YET ANOTHER DROP in home sale prices. And you claim they are doing a good job???????? You are not man enough to address that, are you!

About 10 years ago the town and city replaced and repaired the sewer system and claimed the problem was fixed.
I don't know if anyone remembers what was on that plot where Paesan's strip mall was built, but it was elevated at least 5 feet and was the old Maxwell House restaurant - 2513 Guilderland Ave, Phone Dl 6-9420
Paesan's parking lot next to Country Farms was the original home of Matt's tavern now located at Curry and Pauline. Matt's was a good place to go play shuffleboard.
Country Farms was one of two Ed Hamil Service Stations, painted bright orange and you could buy recycled oil for 5 cents a quart in glass bottles. The other Station was down next to Elsie's diner on Campbell Rd where The mall now sits.
Across the street was the 25 cent car wash which later became Sorrento's.
Ed Hamil's used oil reminds me of when you could pull into the Altamont Ave car wash, later known as Cinelli's, and stick a plastic tube down your dipstick and suck the oil out of your engine. Then you simply bought quarts of oil from the vending machine and refilled the engine. An idea that never caught on. Like the vending machine on Broadway where you could buy half gallons of milk when Green's dairy store was closed.

I remember Matt's Tavern very well -- very good friends with the family that owned it.

See that, told ya. DV's not MAN ENOUGH to address the falling home prices yet again. He can't provide any EVIDENCE of any return on the homeowners FORCED investment. He's far too cowardly to speak about how the city dems moved money from one fund to another in order to create a FAKE surplus!
