Isn't the Tea Party a Conservative group?

They must have changed the Conservative views on welfare when
they applied for government exemption from taxes.

I would say it's the other way around.  When did progressive groups start avoiding taxes while spreading the message of bigger government and more government spending?

It's Cissy's obstinate nature... he sees just about everything the other way around!

No Cicero... It fits you perfectly:

ob·sti·nate
adjective
1. firmly or stubbornly adhering to one's purpose, opinion, etc.; not yielding to
argument, persuasion, or entreaty.

2. characterized by inflexible persistence or an unyielding attitude; inflexibly
persisted in or carried out

An analysis of a list of groups approved for tax exempt status,
released by the Internal Revenue Service in the wake of its admission
to targeting conservative groups for heightened scrutiny, determined that
of the groups approved, more than two-thirds were conservative.

HUH!  The IRS showed TeaBagger favoritism!

Who Is Responsible for the IRS Targeting TeaBaggers???
Why A Conservative Republican TeaBagger of Course!

Quoted Text
A U.S. Internal Revenue Service manager, who described himself as a
conservative Republican, told congressional investigators that he and a local
colleague decided to give conservative groups the extra scrutiny that has prompted
weeks of political controversy.

In an official interview transcript released on Sunday by Democratic Representative
Elijah Cummings, the manager said he and an underling set aside “Tea Party” and “patriot”
groups that had applied for tax-exempt status because the organizations appeared to
pose a new precedent that could affect future IRS filings.

The only problem is that there is also testimony that says the orders to target conservatives came from DC so who do you believe?

As I have been posting for weeks... WHAT F'N SCANDAL???

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/18/irs-scandal-washington_n_3460904.html

Quoted Text
WASHINGTON -- In a rebuke to House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa
(R-Calif.), Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) has released the full transcript of a key interview
with an IRS employee at the heart of the agency's scandal.

The 200-page transcript sheds additional light on the decision by the IRS to screen out tea
party groups applying for tax-exempt status during the months and years leading up to the
2012 elections.

Republican and Democratic committee staffers interviewed IRS official John Shafer on
June 6 about the agency's decision to scrutinize a tea party group's application for
tax-exempt 501(c)(4) status. Shafer, who identified himself as "a conservative Republican"
and said he'd worked for the IRS since 1992, said that he and a fellow screener initially
flagged a tea party group and continued to do so with subsequent applications in order
to maintain consistency in the process.

Quoted Text
Asked plainly, "do you have any reason to believe that anyone in the White House
was involved in the decision to screen Tea Party cases?" Shafer replied, "I have no reason
to believe that."

"Do you have any reason to believe that anyone in the White House was involved in the
decisions to centralize the review of Tea Party cases?" he was asked. "I have no reason
to believe that," he replied.

Asked if he had "ever communicated with [then IRS] Commissioner Shulman about the
screening of Tea Party cases?" he replied, "I have not."

When the culprit is caught... and he's a Conservative Republican who was in charge of targeting
TeaBaggers... and he says that the White House wasn't involved in any way...
YEA... that issue, like the rest of the bogus GOP Invented Scandals, is put to bed!

And James Clapper told Senator Udall under oath that the NSA didn't collect the personal communications of millions of Americans.

What is your point?

So you argue the IRS issue in the NSA thread, and the NSAissue in the IRS thread.

Cicero, you've got your alphabet mixed up again.

If there is a White House/IRS link... no one in all these hearings has shown it... and witnesses have
testified against it...So unless there is something new???
It's just one more Republican Invented Scandal!

No wonder Congress approval is at an all time low.
