The dedication of the George W. Bush library gives loyalists of the former president a chance to highlight what they see as the positive legacy of his eight years in office.

George W, Bush and George H.W. Bush -- two of the greatest presidents to occupy the White House. This is a wonderful day for America and the Bush family. I look forward to the possibility that Jeb Bush may run in 2016.

I think this may be the first time in Bush's life that he's been in a library.
Nah, I doubt it.... It's a nice quiet place to sleep off a hangover... I saw the Diane Sawyer interview with him and Laura.. it turns out he's not a bad painter...even the art critics seem to think so..

"I've been focused on economic policy lately, so I sort of missed the big push to rehabilitate Bush's image; also, as a premature anti-Bushist who pointed out how terrible a president he was back when everyone else was praising him as a Great Leader, I'm kind of worn out on the subject."
"But it does need to be said: he was a terrible president, arguably the worst ever, and not just for the reasons many others are pointing out."

There are rumors that Obama's library when he leaves the White House will be located in Pekin, Illinois where he is expected to share a room (cell) with his old buddy, Tony Rezko.

You can almost hear the jealousy in DVOR's posts.
I remember the predictions of doom and gloom for Obama's reelection. He can't win with unemployment this high... WRONG He can't win with gas prices this high... WRONG He can't win reelection, no way, no how... The FACTS: ~ Barack Obama is the first Democratic president to win more than 50 percent of the popular vote in a re-election run since Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1944.
~ Barack Obama is the only Democratic candidate for president since FDR to twice win more than 50 percent of the national vote.
~ Barack Obama has, in both of his presidential runs, won a higher percentage of the national vote than any Democratic nominee since Lyndon Johnson in his 1964 landslide victory.
It all adds up to an Obama Mandate

Obama has a lot of questions that he has never answered - some of them - the shady "sweetheart" real estate deals that he got from Tony Rezko, why his wife stated publicly in 2008 that she "was NOT proud to be an American", how a presumably intelligent man sat for 20 years in church while the pastor preached "God damn America" and he (Obama) never heard it and why did 4 people die in Bengazi while he sat on his hands and did NOTHING ???????????????????????????????????????????????
I have stated since 2008 that Obama wasn't qualified to be president -- a few terms in the state senate and a couple years in the US Senate with ABSOLUTELY NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS except for some "sweetheart legislation" that benefited his wife's employer and some that benefited crooks like Rezko. I didn't trust the characters that ran his campaign (the Chicago "gang") and more importantly I don't agree with his extreme left wing agenda. But ultimately, I would NEVER vote for a person to serve as president who has displayed such contempt for America as he has over the years.
And YES - I do believe that if the Rezko connection was investigated more thoroughly Obama would be in Pekin Federal Corrections Facility along with Rezko and a bunch of other Illinois Democratic party machine hacks.
