Walt first posts on this incident on Sunday, April 7, an incident which was to have taken place on Sunday, April 7.

The squeaky wheels on here question the lack of anything on the news.

Just as in the King Phillip tax theft case, the SQUEAKY WHEELS have come through once again!

We have won again, we have the EVIDENCE. we become squeaky wheels, constantly getting on the backs of those who should answer to the people that need to, we work on behalf of the financially struggling residents/taxpayers of the city.

Page B2, way at the bottom

I take a bow once again, on behalf of all the squeaky wheels.

The democratic voices and the cheerleaders for the dems in the city/county/plex should bow and praise us "nayboobs,"  to us squeaky wheels for our persistent, earnest work on behalf of the residents and taxpayers of the city in questioning the actions of the city/co/plex leaders and their mis-use and/or theft of tax dollars that belongs to the residential taxpayers of the city!

Good job. So it wasn't a stabbing after all.

Good and accurate reporting. You even supplied a source. Your continued efforts have moved you to the front desk. No more cub reporter for you. Congratulations!

I bring all the "nayboobs" (as we are referred to by one voice) with me to the front desk, we all work together, finding things, questioning things, doing our research, finding the evidence and making the evidence public in order to improve the city.  Maybe someday there will be the earliest beginnings of a renaissance in the city.

Working together works when done by "nayboobs."

It definitely doesn't work when done by the dems and their cronies.   Even one "voice" in particular is avoiding claims of a renaissance, it's easier to be silent than to admit one is wrong.

It only took four days to make the paper , It also said he was charged w/ assaulting a cop at the end . They said the cop was severely injured. Maybe thats why my friend thought he was stabbed.

A cop badly injured and bleeding from a cut, not too difficult to take that as a stabbing. One would think it was more newsworthy. I hope the guy healsup okay. Ouch.

RR I didn't provide a source and some of the facts were wrong . Thats what happens from eye witness accounts . I could have waited and checked my facts and told you about four days after it happened. I chose not to .  I posted what I was told . Turns out half of it was true . Take me to court for providing false info.

Walt....don't be so hard on yourself. You reported what you 'saw' or 'was told'. That's how we start to dig for evidence and truth. And i'd have to believe that if would have never hit the media if it wasn't being discussed at all! If we waited for the local media to report things......we'd be old, grey and in wheel chairs!!

Good job Walt for getting the wheels in motion!

Agreed.

The "nayboobs" work together and it works; maybe the dems and plex should learn from us.

A friend of mine that lives in scotia, their friend was teaching their child (on a legal permit) to drive during the day,,,they were
harassed on Maple Ave because they were 3-5mph below speed limit during lesson....the off-duty officer was harassing them by
tailgating and then finally got so close to pull them over, and pull out gun...stated "annoyed" at speed they were travelling and that
they 'just got off work'.......WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We get all in a huff when the "real" media get's a story wrong. I just think that as "citizen reporters" we should then hold ourselves to a higher standard when reporting an incident. I'm glad that you took the time to report the incident here. I think a more accurate title to the thread would have been "Incident in Mt. Pleasant, Policeman Injured", or something to that effect. Don't we get upset when the "real media" sensationalizes something?

Walt, my comments were not directed towards you, but rather at the sometimes haphazard way some of the "citizen journalists" report things in general. To be clear on this, I also received information of this incident via another social media outlet. I did not provide that, because my "source" was unable to provide me with more details. I was willing to wait before posting my info. We should proceed with caution before jumping to conclusions and making inaccurate statements. I've seen that happen here. Some, but not all here, also don't feel the need to include a source when copying and pasting a news article. That's just plain wrong IMHO. That's not giving credit to the people who did the actual reporting. How would we feel if at our place of employment someone else took credit for something we did? I daresay we would not be pleased.

Once again if my comments in someway offended you, I apologize, as I do appreciate the effort you made. They were not meant to be offensive, but rather as constructive criticism to the group in general.
