I don't really want to say "in fairness to her," but I will.

A purchase price of $230,000 was in 2003.   The $139,000 assessment probably resulted from the last held citywide reassessment in what 2008 (remember in 2007 how the city people had issues with the "data collectors")

And since the dems are ruining the city $139,000 is probably still higher than the house is worth today.

The unknown is whether the $139,000 is the assessment amount assigned in the last assessment OR whether she/they grieved and got it reduced at anytime since then.





Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.  
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

People who bought overpriced homes in the Stockade got low assessments during the 'bubble' but people up here who never even sold their homes got assessed beyond anyone's wildest imagination, and could not get their assessments lowered. Hmmm.
Yes, a specialist in "How to Keep Everybody Else But You Paying High Taxes and Being Okay With It" would be an asset to the cronies down at City Hall. She could help put them over the top in the race to be the next Stockton.
