it is incumbent upon an intelligent homeowner and taxpayer like myself and my better/other half that we use our intelligence to preface this post my mentioning first the reason WHY the mayor will not reassess the city, they we have some more note worth FACTS that we ask ALL to share with any and every homeowner in the city.

So first, the mayor REFUSES to allow a citywide reassessment because doing do would be an admission that the dem leadership in the city is a MASSIVE FAILURE.   The mayor simply cannot admit that home values are tumbling big time.

A citywide reassessment would require reassessing the homes to a lower value than today, the mayor wants people to think values are going up.   If he allowed a reassessment, say, of a $100,000 to be reduced to it's real true value, of perhaps $60,000, people would ALL know that their home values are going down and it would be proof for them that downtown is not helping.

Unfortunately, the only people who really, truly grasp the true massive downward spiral of the city are those that are trying to sell their homes and can't, or those who have sold at a much lower price than the mayor claims the house is worth.   And then there are people like myself and my other half who have the intelligence to know these things and we speak the truth AND PROVIDE EVIDENCE (unlike democratic voice/s who NEVER provide a shred of proof of what they write on these boards).

Can you imagine the mayor allowing a reassessment, which would have to be downward, and then get your tax bill that still goes up?   The mayor is SO VERY VERY AFRAID that people will start  connecting the truths that he and the rest of the dems are runing the city.

NOW FOR THE NEWS BREAKER.   The city's equalization rate looks to be getting increased to 108%.    Mark my words.   When the rate is made official, I will be sure to post a link to this message.

For your education, as the equalization rate increases more and more above 100%, it's proof, as recognized by the state, that property values in a municipality are going DOWN!

In other words, it is EVIDENCE!!!!!    It is OFFICIAL DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE from the state that home values are decreasing in the city.

So, in addition to what I write on here, in addition to the proof I provide, in addition to what the non dem puppets say, it is a proof that we "nayboobs" speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth -- that the wild, uncontrolled spending by the dems and plex on downtown is contributing to massive reductions in home values which hurts the already overtaxed financially struggling homeowners.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

What I and other residents have been saying about the real estate reality in Schenectady is being shown to be true, but the mayor/realtors/banks/media
keep trying to make it not be so.

All taxpayers should be angry, because even if you move away from the problems they will be coming to you soon enough, when we pay high taxes and

still have unrepaired roads and broken water mains all over the place. When you pay your taxes, you are supposed to be paying for something of value,

not paying tribute to people who think they are some kind of elite over the rest of us.
