How long before the schools are just locked down entirely.  Where the kids stay in one room and the teachers go from classroom to classroom.....

failure is the new success

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

That's the Schenectady School District motto for decades...how do you think all the State and Federal funds for poor performing/ persistently dangerous and 'district in need' funnel into the schools??

Teachers need to get those pensions, retirement and life-time medical benefits covered somehow? Just ask Raucci.

YES, there are good kids...but the system fails them all...no one called THE KIDS BAD....it is all about the BAD SYSTEM...

certainly no one works for free...but every time there's 'an issue' we toss money at a sinking ship to save the treasure
which ISN'T the kids....

we impress their own ignorance upon them as if it's a DISEASE, call it ADHD/ADD etc etc or any other MENTAL HYGIENE
LABEL we can to call it something other than the elephant in the room....

REDLINING THROUGH PUBLIC EDUCATION......

Quoted Text
"Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. They've long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying. Lobbying, to get what they want.

Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don't want. They don't want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don't want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They're not interested in that. That doesn't help them. That's against their interests. That's right. They don't want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they're getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fu**in' years ago. They don't want that.

You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they're coming for your Social Security money. They want your fu**in' retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They'll get it. They'll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this fu**in' place. It's a big club and you ain't in it. You and I are not in The big club. By the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy.

The table has tilted, folks. The game is rigged. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people - white collar, blue collar, it doesn't matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue - these are people of modest means - Continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don't give a f*** about you. They don't give a f*** about you. They don't care about you at all. At all. At all. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care.

That's what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes every day, because the owners of this country know the truth: It's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it."

My kids both went through this system , They are both in college and doing fine . As are many students from this school system . Everyone here blames the teachers and the school .How about you blame the parents that send there kids to school unprepared ,unwilling to learn,or otherwise just messed up . Stop blaming the teachers and the school start blaming the parents. My son was born autistic, but thanks to the fine people in this school district is now doing fine in his first year of college.

Still overpaid when you consider retirement and health benefits.  Fact.

Sure 'some' kids make it through the city school system.....but it clearly should be more than 'some'...dontcha agree!! They have a difficult time graduating 50% of the students. Many can't read at grade level.

And call it what you want....but the city school system is one main reason why parents who place importance on education for their kids, WILL NOT move to the city of schenectady.

Exactly! This together with the obscene DEM taxes are killing City resale values. Of course this could happen anywhere but it happens too much here.  A graduation rate of just above 50% is totally
unacceptable especially with this level of spending. There are many successes and many dedicated teachers in the SCSD. But when you look at the decline of a once solid small urban district it takes your
breath away.
