Eastern Parkway has to be pretty lucrative, with all the food stamp dollars. The trouble is, if you don't drive, Hannaford is too expensive a cab ride and no longer on the bus line. People of modest means suffer the most becauseof the welfare dump. They can't get away from it.
Hannaford no longer on a bus line? Since when? Altamont Ave is now served by two buses
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
The Consaul Road Hannaford is no longer on the bus line. That's the one JackBauer recommends as having a more pleasant shopping atmosphere, and Iprefer it myself. Altamont Avenue, yeah, it beats Eastern Parkway, for sure, but you don't get the guarantee of a better experience that you do in the Nisky one, IMO.

OK. Never knew CDTA ever had buses on Consaul Rd or Balltown Rd

The #58 Union Street went over Balltown Road to the former Mohawk Mall. Isn't it odd that as we are pushing energy conservation, emissions control, etc. More and more places are getting built that are only accessible by car? In Mohawk Commons, you really need to get back in your car if you want to go from Old Navy to Target. I think that the malls are losing popularity because they can be accessed by bus.
