I was thinking the other day about when BS decided that the nuisance Bethesda House was bad for downtown, so he wanted to spend a lotof our money and displace a taxpaying minority owned business up on State Street? Remember there were objections from people who thought the presence of that Poverty Palace would be bad for the Vale neighborhood, an "at-risk" neighborhood full of children? BS didn't care, because he is certainly smarter than anybody linked in any way to THAT neighborhood, right? So in went the Palace, and vulnerable homeless died in vacant buildings anyway. Mynderse Street is in the Vale neighborhood. Mynderse Street is where a woman said to be "under a lot of pressure" beat her own grandchild to death. Could it be possible that the people who thought that Bethesda House would be a poor fit for an already fragile neighborhood were right? |
