If you hadn't been drinking and were sober, why didn't you tell tehm to give you a field sobriety test to prove you were not under the influence and that you were capable of driving home and then they couldn't deny you that right.
They saw you guys go into the truck and thought 2 things probably...leaving after drinking a lot and under the influence...-and/or-... came out to smoke some weed.
But I think you were well within your rights to drive if you were sober and they couldn't deny you that. i think if it were me I would ahve asked for the test, and/or I would have said okay, I'm about to drive and if you want to arrest me for being under the influence, then go ahead. Otherwise, please understand that I am sober and you cannot prevent me from driving.
BUT I DAMN WELL BETTER BE SOBER AND NOT UNDER INFLUENCE OF ANYTHING befoe I did that.
I was completely sober but the cops weren't having it, the last thing you want to do is question a cop who is already on a power trip. These are the ones who will beat you half to death and claim self-defense even though you never touched them. I remember telling him more then once I didn't drink, his response was "I told you you aren't driving" in that voice that pretty much means what I says goes or else.

Not at all, now if the cop came towards me while unsnapping his service pistol and then asked for identification I would have a problem. I'll give you an example, one night me and my friend hit up a club in Colonie, after awhile we decided to go out to smoke a cigarette, since it was cold we jumped in his truck. Before I could even light my cigarette a spotlight lit up the whole truck and 2 Colonie cops approached. We both rolled down the windows and the cop asked what we were doing, I told him we came out for a cigarette, he replied why are you in the truck, I said because it is 20 degrees out. Well he didn't like that so him and his partner went on how we weren't going to drive anywhere that night. I then explained how I didn't drink anything as I was going to be the designated driver, it didn't matter they were on their power trip and they would not let me drive even though I was completely sober. The cops had nothing better to do then to harass 2 people who did nothing wrong, they probably just got hard on thinking they had power over us. It's dicks like those 2 cops why I question why the officer was stabbed.
Just as above, where you wanted to know why the homeless man stabbed this particular trooper... I wonder why these two police officers decided to question YOU? You seemed to assume that the cop did something wrong because the homeless man stabbed that trooper and not others... Well... I wonder why these two cops happened to question YOU!
Or does your suspicion meter only work against the cops... never for them?
(I would love to hear the two police officers version of your story... My guess, it would be much different than yours)

I'm sure it would be, oh yes we seen these 2 men stumbling to their truck each with a beer in their hand, I asked politely what they were doing and they became very hostile towards us mumbling their words

Obviously, like our own State trooper with a knife in his neck... they all did something to deserve being shot.

Law enforcement didn't even make the top 10 when it came to the most dangerous jobs, I wonder how many covenience store clerks were killed in 2013 in the line of duty, more then law enforcement officers but their lives don't matter as much as the God's in uniform

Police officers... Convenience store clerks??? What does one have to do with the other???
Both group killings are unacceptable.

Honestly, I would have done as I said. I do not care what happens if I am totally in the right and can prove it. If they beat me, I would deal with it after, but I will not be accused/denied when there is no reason for it and they were in the wrong!
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!

It didn't crack the top 25. Less than 200 cops NATION WIDE that died while on the clock last year, and over half of those deaths, were because they were driving like a nut, when not even responding to a call, or chasing a subject.

Perhaps you can list all of the civilians that died from unjustified police shootings as well? Or don't you feel like spending an hour typing.
It was your suggestion Henry, remember??? YOU suggested that the cop did something to cause this attack... These are YOUR WORDS Henry: ~" The way the officers talk about it is that he stabbed him for no reason." ~"...why would the cop ask for identification, doesn't make sense." ~"I'm just thinking maybe we aren't hearing the whole story" ~"... was the man doing something wrong, if not then there was no need to ask am I right." ~"So why didn't he attack the other troopers, why did the officer ask for identification in the 1st place, these are things you are trying to ignore. Either way they caught the guy, it should be interesting to hear his side of things." ~"... what the trooper said must be fact because law enforcement never lies right." ~"I simply want to know why he was stabbed, did the man feel threaten, did the cop intimidate him..."
