..Sequestration Shovels Money to the Russians By Howard Bloom | Scientific American – 1 hr 42 mins ago....Email0Share17 http://news.yahoo.com/sequestration-shovels-money-russians-170000268.html....A widespread opinion is that the sequestration--the blunt whack of $85 billion from the national government's budget--was, as UPI puts it, "a dumb idea when it was created and it's a dumb idea now." But the sequestration may be far dumber than most realize. To save money, this budget bash is about to gush over three quarters of a billion dollars from America's space budget directly into the coffers of the Russians. Penny wise and billion dollar foolish. |

Wow. Better send a memo to YOUR party.
why don't you Google Bob Woodward of the Washington Post?.... This issue is as much Obama's doing as either house of Congress. |

White House denies staffer threatened Watergate journalist Woodward Published February 28, 2013 FoxNews.com The White House is denying reports an adviser threatened famed Watergate journalist Bob Woodward after the Washington Post reporter challenged President Obama's version of events on the looming sequester. Woodward claimed Wednesday night that a White House aide sent him an email saying he would "regret" his comments. The aide was not identified, but an official familiar with the exchange told Fox News it was National Economic Council Director Gene Sperling. That was after Woodward wrote a column this past weekend claiming Obama was trying to re-write history -- regarding not only whose idea the sequester was, but also how it would take effect. Woodward wrote that based on his reporting earlier in the budget battle, the president was trying to move the goalposts by trying to replace the sequester with a mix of tax hikes and spending cuts -- instead of solely spending cuts. After Politico reported late Wednesday that Woodward was coming forward to claim he was threatened, a White House aide denied the claim. "Of course no threat was intended," wrote the White House aide. "As Mr. Woodward noted, the email from the aide was sent to apologize for voices being raised in their previous conversation. The note suggested that Mr. Woodward would regret the observation he made regarding the sequester because that observation was inaccurate, nothing more. And Mr. Woodward responded to this aide's email in a friendly manner." According to Politico, Woodward said he was "yelled at" by an Obama aide over his weekend column in the Post. Then, he said he received a page-long email from the aide -- apparently Sperling -- that said: "I apologize for raising my voice in our conversation today. ... You're focusing on a few specific trees that give a very wrong impression of the forest. But perhaps we will just not see eye to eye here. ... I think you will regret staking out that claim." Woodward "THREAT"?We've read the "threat" from the White House staffer to Bob Woodward... Sounds ominous! How did Bob Woodward react to this "violent white house threat"??? Did Bob call the police? Did he hire a body guard? Did Bob Woodward, in the face of this "threat", run for cover??? Um... Nope. He just replied to the email! He thanked the staffer, said he welcomed his advice, and promised to meet him later in the afternoon.

From Woodward to Sperling on Feb. 23, 2013 Gene: You do not ever have to apologize to me. You get wound up because you are making your points and you believe them. This is all part of a serious discussion. I for one welcome a little heat; there should more given the importance. I also welcome your personal advice. I am listening. I know you lived all this. My partial advantage is that I talked extensively with all involved. I am traveling and will try to reach you after 3 pm today. Best, Bob

How else is he to respond to a president that has a secret kill list and already assassinated two of his own citizens? That's how tyranny works box, you intimidate with veiled threats with a history of using those threats. People will then OBEY and not challenge the king out of fear of reprisal. |

Former Clinton aide, columnist joins Woodward in claiming White House threat Published February 28, 2013 FoxNews.com Another member of the Washington political media stepped forward Thursday to claim he was threatened by the Obama White House, shortly after the White House denied reports that an adviser threatened famed Watergate journalist Bob Woodward. The latest claim comes from Lanny Davis, who served as counsel to former President Bill Clinton and later went on to write a column for The Washington Times. In a radio interview on WMAL, Davis said that a "senior Obama White House official" once called his editor at the Times and said that if the paper continued to run his columns, "his reporters would lose their credentials."
