Morris flees the city.

Morris bought in 2002 for $172,000    City claims his house is now worth $155,000.

But the mayor is using the taxpayer subsidized home selling program to try to sell it for $259,000.

LOOK AT THE EMPTY HOUSE!!!!     King Philip couldn't even get someone to rent it because no one wants to live in the city anymore

Morris is too cheap to stage the house!

And check out the listing.  The listing does NOT state the annual tax bill (McCheese and King Philip know full well the taxes would cause people to not even look twice!).  Rather the sleazy realtor merely says:

Quoted Text
Taxes w/o STAR (savings would be 640.00).

Again, it doesn't state what the taxes are to begin with!

Oh, it's still for rent too.

Rather obvious that since we "nayboobs" to tell the truth and present evidence have resulted in his illegal STAR exemption to be taken away, King Philip is stomping his feet and deciding to get rid of the property

Full Market Value:      2012 - $155,288

Total Assessment:      2012 - $161,500

Taxes are around $6,000 for city and School combined.

Asking $259,000. Imagine that happening.

He paid $172,000 in 2002.

We should all submit purchase offers below $50,000.

Assessed at $161,500 in the Stockade.  And we just did a reassessment of the city a few years ago?

Read this one and grasp it.

House assessed for $161,000.   King Philip puts in on the market for $259,000 and the mayor chooses to market it in his taxpayer subsidized home "attempt to sell" program" at that price.   Since the realtor and the bank have agreed to sell this in that program, they too clearly agree with the mayor and King Phillip that the house is worth $259,000.

It is the duty and obligation of the city assessor to increase the assessment of that house to $259,000!    Let's see if the assessor has the guts to do that!

How did he get an assessment for less than he paid, in the last reassessment? Houses up here (Upper Union) were reassessed to numbers that had no connection to any price that any house could have or did sell for in anyone's wildest imagination. The city is now saying that house is worth less than the  assessment? What about all the other houses in Schenectady?
Why is the mayor trying to work as a realtor? Is FM going to pay him a commission when he sells the place?
That house up here, where the financial expert guy was having trouble selling it because of the whopping taxes, wasn't the city claiming that house wasworth more than they are now claiming Philip's is worth?
So shady, lousy, despicable, stupid... maybe the assessor does want to increase the assessment. Maybe that's why she alone has to move into the city or lose her job, of all the out-of-towners working for Schenectady.
FM is getting paid by the city. Shouldn't he have to move back here?

The entire city is over assessed but McCheese and his horrible implosion crew don't want to lower the total assessed value to reality. It's the high taxes stupid! All the Keys to the City and phony BS programs only
trick the unqualified. It's not just the insane DEM taxes it's the whole Code Enforcement nickle, dime and screw you philosophy imposed by 37 straight years of DEM "leadership".

Median sales prices down 10% and less homes sold since McCheesy took office. Well, at least he's getting his salary and pension while in office...let the City go to sh*t, but make sure you take your money and run.....

He bought the house in 2002 the next reassesment was in what year, maybe 2007, 2008?   So the assessment would be based on what the house would be worth in the year of reassessment, not the year of the last purchase.

However, the question then turns to this.   The city did a reassessment early in the 2000 decade because prices fell.   Then the city did that next reassessment around 2007 and values were up.

So, since values were going up, how did the dems reduce Morris' assessment?     Yes, a question that McC and his dem cronies have an obligation to the taxpayers to answer.

But of course, they won't answer.  McC keeps refusing to acknowledge that home values are plummeting and thus refuses to reassess downward.   McCarthy IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE MAYOR!!!!!!

And no cheerleader for the dems will be able to respond with any evidence to prove otherwise.

The assessed value has nothing to do with the current value.

It's a collectable with celebrity value by virtue of being owned by a celebrity.

It hold collectable status like Goerge Washington slept here.

Yes, how did that particular piece of property get assessed lower, I wonder? Especially since so many people got whammied in that last reassessment, like the house belonging to the mother of the financial expert mentioned elsewhere? I know of a young couple who bought a house just prior to that, a 'diamond in the rough' needing a lot of work, but a beautiful house in a nice area. Mind you, the taxes were already high when they bought it, but the price was good. Then that reassessment came around and pow! Now they cannot afford one extra thing, no evening out, ever, it all goes to the city in taxes. There is no escape, either. No one will buy a house, in Schenectady, needing lots of work, taxed higher than a house in good condition in say, Niskayuna.
The city is still looking out for non-resident King Phil. BTW, Judy Atchinson mentioned on that Unadulterated Schenectady site that Proctor's is having financial problems. Hmmm.
This stuff is repetitious, I know, but sometimes people start to catch on if they hear something enough.
