Are those Orchard St pit bulls licensed yet?

Is the yard fenced?

Has the city removed the STAR exemption for the time it's owner lived in Massachusetts with his pits?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Only McCheese would put this moron in charge of the pit bull problem. That shows the importance given this issue by McCheese.

Look who's in control of the City...the Grand Poohba of them all!!

A census..a $100,000 joke played upon the City taxpayers. Take that $100K and start building an annex to the animal shelter because that should have been done years ago!!

You can't place limits now when there has been a free-for-all in the City for decades.

Build an annex, get out animal control and take back the streets. It will save the lives of residents, first responders, police, children...etc...etc...

Use the $100,000 to hire more animal control officers. DUH! So residents can have weekend/evening coverage and they can respond to multiple pits. After what happened on HH you think someone in City Hall would take their head out of their rear end.
A new low for the DEM morons that can't run a lemonade stand profitably.

One of the nice things about my neighborhood is the high number of responsible dog owners walking their pets at all times of day. Decent people beingout and about on the streets is a good thing. I don't want to see these people get gouged for extra money to prop up a faulty system that needs replacing. A dog census, at this time, is just an excuse for more fees.

Don't get me wrong, we should have a dog census, as part of a well-run city government, but that is soooo far down the list of things that need doing that it would never be proposed seriously by anyone competent. This is yet another function of city government that was let go all to hell, yet there wasno corresponding reduction in our taxes.

If anyone in city government has actually walked around the Hamilton Hill area lately, they should explain how they think a person could walk around that area with a clipboard, asking nosy questions about pit bull ownership, without a police escort. I have spoken with animal welfare workers who have ventured into those places - it as far worse than anyone can imagine America in the 21st century as being.
How about a sofa census? The city could pay a crew of eager young people to go into homes and rummage for any spare change left in the couch. Watch out for used syringes!

That's funny about walking around Ham Hill. Albany Street once actually had small business not just non profits and feeding centers. The City needs Animal Control officers 24/7 not a useless dog census. Another quality of life issue that the DEM machine
refuses to even discuss. But of course the DEMS care alot about social issues and creating jobs ROTFLMAO!! Even with Mayor McCheese and famous job creator Death Ray Schenectady County has the highest unemployment in the Capital District-AGAIN.
