Obama Hits 3 Year High as Republicans Sink to New Low

Quoted Text
A new Bloomnberg National Poll finds President Obama enters the latest showdown
with Congress with his highest job approval in three years and public support for his
economic message, while his Republican opponents' popularity stands at a record low.

Key findings:
55% of Americans approve of Obama's in office, the strongest support since
Sept 2009.
Meanwhile, just 35% of the country has a favorable view of the GOP, the
lowest since Sept 2009.

In addition, Americans by 43% to 34% say Republicans are more to blame than and
Democrats for what's wrong in Washington
.

But for those of us who take our facts from Reality, Obama is actually down 18% since 2009.

A new USA Today/Pew Research poll finds President Obama "starts his second term with a clear upper
hand over GOP leaders on issues from guns to immigration that are likely to dominate the year. On the
legislation rated most urgent -- cutting the budget deficit -- even a majority of Republican voters
endorse Obama's approach of seeking tax hikes as well as spending cuts."

Key finding:
"Now just 22% of Americans, nearly a record low, consider themselves Republicans."

These results mirror a Bloomberg poll released last night.

the president will always 'show' an upper hand....it would look bad internationally if it was otherwise

I'm guessing the exodus of the Republican Party is by the non-statists.  But it's only a guess, not a "fact"

Who will Democrats demagogue without Republicans?  When the American people become poorer, who will they blame?  With decreased participation in the two party charade, where will the disenfranchised turn?

The democrat utopia that has been promised should be right around the corner if this evidence is accurate.

If Obama has a 45% disapproval rating and only 22% of Americans identify as republicans, what do the other 23% that disapprove of Obama identify as?

Box is mixing stats for his own purposes. Here are real stats.

Current US population is 315,371,446. http://www.census.gov/population/www/popclockus.html

Current number of persons age 18 and older is 201,000,000.

72 million registered Democrats. - 35.8% of all adults 18 and over.

54 million registered Republicans. - 26.8% of all adults 18 and over.

46 million Independent, Libertarian or other. 22.8% of all adults 18 and over.

29 million non party affiliated. - 14.4% of all adults 18 and over.

Barack Obama      Votes 65,899,660 - 32.7% of all adults 18 and over. 51.06% of all votes cast

Mitt Romney      Votes 60,929,152 - 30.3% of all adults 18 and over. 47.21% of all votes cast

Summary:

The Democratic party got 3.1% less votes than they have registered voters.

The Republican party got 3.5% more votes than they have registered voters.

Apparently more people identify with Republicans than the number of registered Republicans.

Apparently fewer people identify with Democrats than the number of registered Democrats.

Trust nothing the poop flinging box of monkey feces throws at you. Do your own research.

Fact: Obama's approval rating for his entire term averaged 49%. That's not a majority.
