Martin to leave Rotterdam Town Board for county seat
Former councilwoman Nicola DiLeva to fill town vacancy

.By John Purcell
As of Thursday, January 31, 2013 -6:19 p.m.

#Martin confirmed today he was selected by Democratic county legislators to be appointed to the seat formerly held by Angelo Santabarbara, who was elected to the 111th Assembly. Nicola DiLeva, a former councilwoman, is scheduled to be appointed to Martin’s seat on the Town Board, according to Rotterdam officials.

#Martin said “it happened very quickly” and the appointment wasn’t planned, but he welcomed the opportunity.

#“I accepted it to further my public service duties to the county,” Martin said. “I’m proud and honored to be considered for the County Legislature and I hope to continue my service to the town and now to the great towns of Princetown and Duanesburg.”

#Martin wasn’t sure of the exact date his appointment would occur..................................>>>>...............................>>>>..........................http://www.schenectadyspotlight.com/news/2013/jan/31/martin-leave-rotterdam-town-board-county-seat/

LOL!!!
The one who insulted a resident at a tb meeting...
The one who is a principle at a city school....BUT....moved to ROTTENdam to put her kid in a better school system!!!
ROTTENdamians should never forget the last minute budget vote that she rammed through, that the residents never had a chance to debate.
Nor the hiring of even MORE attornys that cost the ROTTENdam taxpayers a bundle.

They should have picked a 'non political resident'. ROTTENdam will never move forward when they keep recycling!
