Yah, so you registered just to vote for Ron Paul and not becuase you subscribe to the view of teh Rep party...that's not what I think it was intended for...but that is my opinion.
So Hillary and Reagan changed affiliations...may have been for good reasons, but stil a red flag FOR ME!!!
So what if someone is DEM, REP or LIB...where does it say you must vote the party line....persopnally, I vote for who I want and could give a damn about affilitation, because frankly, the affilitation no longer means squat!!!  As I stated "...these are "Politicians" and will use whatever is at their disposal to move forward in the Political ranks." and as I stated, "...just sharing some thoughts of mine ..."

JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!!

It is my experience that most people that belong to a party do so for the local benefit of being associated with that local party.  It is beneficial to be a Democrat or Conservative in Schenectady County because they have access to the people that control the purse strings and they can make it easier for you to get through all the bureaucratic red tape.  People register for those parties for the possible benefits they may receive, not necessarily because they identify with the national party philosophy.

Well, you have hit on 2 of the issues that are wrong with today's political process:
(1) Affiliating with a party for personal gain versus philosophy - MENTALITY OF WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME
(2) Registered REP strictly to pad numbers for a candidate when they have no loyalty to their party and then unregistering - MENTALITY OF "HAH-HAH, LOOK WHAT I CAN DO" IMHO

Maybe this will help

Henry voted for a "reluctant libertarian"... Like Ron Paul, Johnson ran as Republicans, but when they
were ignored by the Republican voters, they ran as Libertarians... (and were ignored there too)!

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

They both held office as republicans.  They ran nationally as republicans because the rigged processes and media only let the establishment party leaders on stage into the national debate.  They played the game by the rules of the oligarchy that control the process.

A black guy from Chicago can win an election in mostly White America... With the highest unemployment
rate for a reelection in history... with a hostile obstructionist Congress fighting him in every way... and
that's OK... but poor Gary Johnson got??? What???  Less than 1% of the vote???
Yea... Libertarians are a force to be reckoned with!

Roseanne Barr managed .05% in her election bid as President!!!

What's a "black guy" from Chicago mean?  I don't get it?  I didn't know "black guy" was a political party. - Racist!

I thought you were against using name calling....I'm surprised by you making such an accusation!  I don't know Box personally, but I have found no reason to believe he is a racist from the posts I've read. I think (IMHO) that your comment is an unfortunate statement that has no place on this forum or any other, as well in life, PERIOD!  It's a poor way to manage philosphical differences by resorting to such vulgar tactics.................IMHO

"A Black Guy from Chicago"... isn't a political party... apparently neither is a "Libertarian", since they
can't even manage 1% of the vote in an election.  Libertarians are more like an "excuse" for a political
party.  A place for loser Republicans to gather and whine about the rules.

Cicero is still pouting since we 'outed' his imaginary political views.

how do you know I've given him a pass or chosen to discuss privately...ASSumption on your part.
and my comment was specifically to you and your use of language becuase you have claimed that's how I reply to messages...name calling...but you have not seen me call anyone such a vulgar name....even if I disliked them tremendously.
Don't worry about others...it's U that I directed my comment to. Thought you were bigger than that is all I was saying!!!!!!

Cicero doesn't vote... yet he seems to care about how everyone else voted.  Cic doesn't want the
responsibility of actually "voting" for something.  It goes against his anarchist religion!

Now don't assume he didn't vote becuase he probably did, and that is a given right of expression I am sure he would not ignore. Also,
he did vote in the primary for Ron Paul....didn't you see that?
Registered just to cast that ballot, then unregistered!
