This board had 800 posts for Obama, 1100 posts for Romney, 2400 posts for Ron Paul, with a total for all
three of an AMAZING 650,000 VIEWS...
yet one week after the election, not a peep.  It's like the election never happened!

How about just enjoy the offseason while it lasts.

I'm tired of it. Don't you get tired of it?

Hell, I'll even change my sig to a non political one.

I'm glad the election is OVER.  The next cycle will start soon enough.

Every detail of the candidates and the voters was discussed in great detail before the election... no one seems
to care what went wrong, what went right or how to change the process for the future.

I'm surprised that those so passionate before the election now seem so indifferent.

I don't care right now, that's for sure.

The only thing I care about is installing new subframe bushings and a short box ram intake on my Volvo when they come in

just wondering how you define moral selfishness as per your post script.....

based on the line the government-god draws or the one given by religion?

Neither.
It reads:
"the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."

How do you define selfishness?  You've bragged that you were retired in your 50's yet there are people in their late 60's and early 70's that cannot retire.  Aren't you greedy and selfish for aquiring excessive amounts of cash by your mid 50's that affords you life's necessities without working, while others cannot?

I don't think that I bragged.  Just stated the facts.

I would be bragging...Good for you...I don't think you are selfish for accumulating enough wealth to retire in your 50's.  But some people that are working well into their 60's might think you weren't taxed high enough and somehow didn't earn your money.

What makes you think that they were taxed higher (or lower) than I was?

Because you accumulated money that affords a lifestyle that includes all life necessities and luxuries like Internet access by your 50's.   That means you should have been taxed more and lowered your standard of living so those that didn't make enough to live as well as you are able to live that well.  You are rich in the eyes of millions.  You should be forced to give a little more to those that didn't plan.  It's the American way.
