Just give the party the votes for one more year!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The Tri-City Valleycats have program where they help Little Leagues renovate their fields. They're doing something in Albany this year. I wonder if any of the Rotterdam LL officials have contacted them re: helping to fix the RLL fields.

Oh wait, you have to have fields first. My bad.

Four Little League fields renovated Updated: Sunday, April 14 2013, 11:47 PM EDT

The Tri City Valley Cats host "4 in 24" where four local little league fields are renovated for the upcoming baseball season. The home fields of National Little League of Albany, Green Island Little League, Menands Junior Baseball and Hudson Valley Little League in Ravena will have new sod placed on their infield, new bases put in, and the playing surface will be squared and leveled. The National Little League is Albany's original Little League and is entering their 62nd season. The '4 in 24' is the kick-off event for the Community Grounds Crew, an expanded initiative with the assistance of BlueShield of Northeastern New York. This program will undertake additional projects and renovations on numerous other youth fields throughout the spring and summer.

exit3 - that is interesting that you mention the green space, I was just talking with someone about that issue the other day. One of the benefits of growing up in a place like Rotterdam, or Schenectady too, was the abundance of green space and recreation areas and also the proximity of stores and workplaces. The best of both worlds.
They kill the goose, no more golden eggs, then they move on to some other nice area and lay waste to that. We can see it now - look at Halfmoon.

You know what? All this talk of "for the children", and when something comes up that really is for the children, something proven to be good for them and their communities, something many will remember all their lives, fuhgeddabouddit.

You mean those fields ARE done? Great!! I think I'll take a ride over there to see how they look. The new grass should look pretty good with the rain. Terrific news!!

RR, responding to something that exit3 said pertaining to the Little League fields and lack thereof is hardly thread hijacking. If you go back and read it,many posters have commented and speculated on the causes of the situation, I was merely continuing along in the same vein. What is the purpose of athread called New Little League Fields otherwise?
