Last month, Esposito admitted to notarizing documents without having people sign them in front of her, as required by law. She said she had no intent to defraud the town but performed the duty as a courtesy to senior citizens seeking exemptions provided by the School Tax Relief (STAR) program.

STAR, as well as the other exemptions, require the owner (or surviving spouse) to reside IN the house in order to maintain eligibility for exemptions.  






The notary issue involved the STAR exemption.  Now she is no longer living in the house here and still is getting the STAR exemption?



Additionally, the exemption is the STAR basic ($30,000).  The Enhanced STAR value for Rotterdam is currently $62,200 and is available only to those seniors whose income is under $79,050.   So one would wonder, how would someone whose income is obviously over $79,000 not be able to pay property taxes?


NONE of the information here is private, rather it is, by law, public information and obtained from official government public records available online through government websites.

ya know....policing should be a crime ...public info doesn't mean to SHOUT it out....so what.....the woman is in her 80"s (?)

and hiw many seniors leave their homes for summer warmth in the winter.....even if she hasn;t paid her taxes.....she has the right for 2 or as many addresses

as she needs......leave the woman alone....DV should be banned from this thread.....he has no right to even criticize anyone for not paying taxes...

give me a break - 50k plus retirement  - how long has this been going on  - sounds like a felony to me or is there some loophole that elected officials were/are exempt

DEMs dont take DEMs to Court

higher standards for seniors especially since they are 'more equal' according to our senior center....

yeah righto.....look at the budget for the center.....way over.....and needless and guess when you poke your nose you know where and keep it there


you get all kinds favors and money in your pocket.....everyone in this admin is taking advantage of taxpayers....especially the so called jewel of the town...

and many others.....get rid of these scumbags and put some diversity into this town......you can't have the same ethnic group running it.....

As far as Eunie....she just may live in Fla but her legal residence is in rotterdam. Until she changes her legal residence, she can continue to rip off the taxpayers......get it?
