Van Jones: ‘Romney Was Able To ‘Out-Obama’ Obama’
October 3, 2012 11:47 PM

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — President Obama’s former environmental jobs czar believes his former boss lost the debate.

Van Jones, President Obama’s former special adviser for green jobs, said on CNN that the president was not ready for Wednesday night’s debate against Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

“I think he took Romney too lightly. I think he did not expect Romney to throw that kind of heat,” Jones explained.

Jones added: “Romney was able to ‘out-Obama’ Obama. On the connection piece, on the authenticity piece, on the being able to tell the story.”

Jones said Obama’s game-plan set him up for failure.

Several other Democratic pundits, including James Carville, Andrew Sullivan and Michael Moore, believed that Romney won Wednesday’s debate.

A CNN poll found that 67 percent believe Romney won the debate, compared to only 25 percent for Obama.

Jones resigned from his White House position in September 2009 after signing a petition saying that the 9/11 attacks might have been an inside job orchestrated by former President George W. Bush.

HURT: Obama the debater: Making Jimmy Carter look awesome
By Charles Hurt Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Bewildered and lost without his teleprompter, President Obama flailed all around the debate stage last night. He was stuttering, nervous and petulant. It was like he had been called in front of the principal after goofing around for four years and blowing off all his homework.

Not since Jimmy Carter faced Ronald Reagan has the U.S. presidency been so embarrassingly represented in public. Actually, that’s an insult to Jimmy Carter.

The split screen was most devastating. Mitt Romney spoke forthrightly, with carefully studied facts and details at the ready. He looked right at the president and accused him of being miles out of his depth.

Mr. Obama? His eyes were glued to his lectern, looking guilty and angry and impatient with all the vagaries of Democracy. This debate was seriously chaffing him......................>>>>..............>>>>.....................Read more: HURT: Obama the debater: Making Jimmy Carter look awesome - Washington Times http://www.washingtontimes.com.....wesom/#ixzz28KMA0PF0

Obama is the greatest debater in history and he can't lose a debate. it is impossible

Where's Boxy? Highlight Obama bringing up Abe Lincoln. You ain't Lincoln nor Carter. If it was a fight it
would have been ended in the third round. Where are the jobs Mr President?

A quick summary of the debate:

Obama tries to tell a lie or makes a misstatement.

Romney refutes/corrects Obama and Romney provides a sound answer -- Obama scowls.

Obama repeats the lie or misstatement.

Romney reiterates the refutation/correction and provides a sound answer --- Obama scowls  while either looking down asking himself "where the hell is the teleprompter" or looking at Jim Lehrer thinking "how come the Press is asking tough questions and not throwing me softballs while doing everything to make Romney look bad".

(repeat over and over for 90 minutes)

Put another way --- Obama tried to peddle the "fantasy" that he and the neo-liberal extreme left have been pushing  and   Governor Romney kept splashing the cold water of Truth and Reality on him.

The topics were way over Obama's head, he doesn't understand how the economy works and has never run a business. the experience he has is the theories he has read in books that have never worked anywhere that they have been tried. The proof was when Obama asked Lehrer to move on to another topic.

Obama looked like a kid from one of those "progressive schools" -- you know the ones where they don't expect the kids to actually learn how to spell (just spell it like it sounds .. thats close enough) or that there actually is such a thing as right or wrong answers (gee Barack - 57 is pretty close to the number of US states ..so you get that one right)  attending a spelling bee or some other contest.

Obama kept flailing throwing out wrong answers.   Romney kept responding with the correct answer.  Then Obama was looking at Lehrer as if to say " you mean I don't get a trophy just for showing up?"

I wonder if Obama called Pelosi afterwards and asked if a kicked a** is covered under Obamacare?

Ratings were for style and substance..........Mitt won hands over...

but, believe this is a ploy to let Mitt win this one.....the fire will come slowly.....and then Obama will have what he wants.

he is no debater....he is what you call an orator.......he has always been able to give a speech....but can';t answer questions without knowing what they will be..

going to be close ....

and lies upon lies....and this is all the America has???......

Democratic National Committee predicts Romney will win first debate

September 30, 2012

" Democratic National Committee spokesman Brad Woodhouse tells Fox News he thinks Republican presidential
nominee Mitt Romney will win.

Woodhouse says the way the DNC sees it, challengers win the first debate when they are up against incumbents.

"Mitt Romney has had a lot more time to debate, the president has not debated in the past four years in
terms, of a campaign debate. I think the president will hold his own, but he's not known for sound bites.
And these are 60 second, 90 second responses."

I honestly thought it was a draw, with each candidate succeeding in what they wanted to do.
Romney wanted to give the impression that he was not as portrayed...a rich white guy who doesn't know or care less about people that are outside of his social class. For the President, he made the case for his primary achievement... ObamaCare. Obama is outside of his comfort zone in debates, he is a natural Lecturer.
If this was strictly a popular vote election, Romney would have made decent gains, but with the electoral college, I have my doubts. I still think Obama will win the electoral vote with a few states to spare, with the popular vote being a a lot closer, probably 50-49 or 51-49

That was the first time in almost 4 years that Obama was asked a real tough question and without someone else telling him what to say on the teleprompter he is just an empty suit or chair which ever you prefer.

One model of the projected electoral vote (Pre Debate) shows Obama the winner with 20 votes to spare.

This debate was all about 'style'....not about substance! Altho we were quite surprised to say the least that the 'great speaker' that obama is.....failed miserably! It was clearly pale in comparison to 2008!! Romney won the day based on style, presentation and passion.

UNLESS.................the dems are deliberately going to throw this election like the reps did in '08.

The reps new in '08 that the sh!t was gonna hit the fan and didn't want it happening on their watch.
The dems know that the sh!t will hit the fan again in 2013 and the dems don't want that on their resume either.
