Warrantless Electronic Surveillance Surges Under Obama Justice Department
Posted: 09/28/2012 9:52 pm EDT Updated: 09/29/2012 3:19 am EDT

NEW YORK -- The Obama administration has overseen a sharp increase in the number of people subjected to warrantless electronic surveillance of their telephone, email and Facebook accounts by federal law enforcement agencies, new documents released by the American Civil Liberties Union on Friday revealed.

The documents, released by the ACLU after a months-long legal battle with the Department of Justice, show that in the last two years, more people were spied on by the government than in the preceding decade. The documents do not include information on most terrorism investigations and requests from state and local law enforcers. Nor do they include surveillance by federal agencies outside Justice Department purview, like the Secret Service..............................>>>>........................>>>>......................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/28/warrantless-electronic-surveillance-obama_n_1924508.html

The thing I take issue with is the warrantless part of the surveillance, DOJ should have a valid reason before they are allowed to pry into anyones life and signed by a judge. I was against all the government surveillance under the Bush administration as well.

Shadow on the side of the ACLU!

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

the ACLU hasn't done anything to fight patriot act/homeland security.....the wording alone in the titles of those entities and their
regulation/laws should have the sh!t beat out of them....

but nooooooooooooo......we all sit around singing feeling safe whilest we 'love thy neighbor' so much as to 'help' them find
help

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
