Alexanderson and Family Watching Television, 1928

General Electric engineer Ernst Alexanderson watches the first home television with his family in his Schenectady house. Alexanderson hosted the first demonstration of home television on January 13, 1928. The television, which operated using a mechanical spinning disk, featured a screen of only 3-inches in diameter.
