Quoted from Box A Rox
An unborn child.  So it's a baby just days from being born? No Of course not.  It's a clump of cells that
ONE DAY MAY become a baby.

What did Jesus say about abortion??? Follow his words and you'll find good advice from Jesus Himself.

On the subject of abortion... Jesus kept his mouth shut.  He wasn't concerned and never mentioned
it.

Jesus said that he came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets -- and interestingly enough there is this item in the Mosaic Law that covers the injury or killing of a baby in a mother's womb:

"If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows. 23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life,"
--Exodus 21:22,23

There are many other Biblical quotes that make it clear that the baby in a mother's womb is created and loved by God.

But again - you are the one who wants to make this a religious issue.  Scientifically, we know that the unborn baby has brain waves, heart beat and many other human functions from its earliest days in the womb.  Politically - as I cited earlier - great Liberal Democrats such as Hubert Humphrey have insisted that the test of a moral nation is one that protects its weakest and most vulnerable members.

Oh -- and your statement that a "fetus may one day become a baby" is completely ridiculous -- actually rather asinine.  It can't become a cabbage or a giraffe or anything else.   If a woman experiences a miscarriage, she doesn't say "no big deal , I just lost a clump of cells".

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14, .

although I am pro choice,,,,I'm sure it's not as flippant as Box says it is

palatable is all the public ever looks for.....

it's kind of like the 'don't ask don't tell' crap......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Really DVOR, You aren't one of those Smorgasburg Christians are you???
Do you pick and choose which passages from the bible that you hold sacred, and which ones you
politely ignore???

If you're going to quote the bible (as if you actually live it) then please remember these passages
that are just as valid as your quoted script:

NO SHRIMP FOR YOU! (crab, lobster, clams, mussels)
Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

Plus:
~Numbers 15:32-36 command that people who work on the Sabbath are to be put to death.
~Deuteronomy 15:1-2 which commands that every seventh year all debts be canceled.
~Deuteronomy 22:11 forbids clothing from being made from two different kinds of thread.

So DVOR, unless you're going to obey faithfully ALL the laws of your bible... don't pick and choose the
ones that you find 'convenient' to push your political agenda on others.
Walk the walk if you're going to talk the talk.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Jesus basically said "do what ever the hell it is you think is right in your eyes. Love is love but physical consequences will happen."

earth IS NOT heaven; it IS physical and our manipulation/choices here will have consequences that we are still too ignorant
to understand/handle/manipulate, because we fail to see to the future....we can't even perceive to see past our short lived
retirement age set by the government.....
