It's kinda funny to watch people who totally denied the validity of polls when Romney was behind, suddenly point to polls as a FACT now that Romney's ahead. I wonder if their point of view will change back again when Romney drops in the polls next week???
IMO... Polls are a temporary snapshot of the general opinion of the electorate at the time the poll was taken. No more or no less.

Rasmussen is now saying that Romney is leading in 11 of 12 "swing states" that Obama carried in 2008 and closing in the last of the 12. Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are now said to be "swing states" and very much within Romney's reach of winning.

Take these polls with a grain salt...Romney picks up 16% more women because of a debate performance not many people saw? I don't buy it. These polls are being portrayed as real news stories because the media can't wait for the main event.

Rasmussen is the only poll in your list which is generally accepted - by past performance - as being VERY CREDIBLE and ACCURATE --- and even you admit that it shows Romney with 5 points ---which is within the margin of error and neither Wisconsin nor Pennsylvania were this close nor considered "swing states" a month ago.
And your list shows Ohio neck and neck -- so if Romney wins 2 of the 3 (Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania) that would pretty much ensure a Romney victory.

"Rasmussen Polls Were Biased and Inaccurate!"
(Not my words, but taken from today's NY Times)
"Every election cycle has its winners and losers: not just the among the candidates, but also the pollsters.
On Tuesday, polls conducted by the firm Rasmussen Reports — which released more than 100 surveys in the final three weeks of the campaign, including some commissioned under a subsidiary on behalf of Fox News — badly missed the margin in many states, and also exhibited a considerable bias toward Republican candidates.
Other polling firms, like SurveyUSA and Quinnipiac University, produced more reliable results in Senate and gubernatorial races. A firm that conducts surveys by Internet, YouGov, also performed relatively well."

The huge problem with your post is that among Political Scientists - conservative leaning and liberal leaning) who specialize in polling and elections have indicated that Rasmussen and Pew have been the MOST ACCURATE predictor of Presidential Election outcomes in the past decade or so. Therefore, I choose to place my confidence in the judgement of the experts and not in some biased died-in-the wool Obama supporter who doesn't seem to have any objectivity on the subject.
Bottomline -- the race is extremely close .. Romney has a path to victory and appears to have the momentum to continuing down that path --- and Obama, despite being the incumbent, is fighting for his political life to hold onto 12 of the states that he won (in some cases handily) 4 years ago. There is absolutely no way for an objective person - regardless of whether they support Romney or Obama - to suggest that President Obama is in good shape right now. With less than a month to go, I'd - if I were the one running in the election - much rather be in Mitt Romney's shoes than Barack Obama's shoes.
