Damn... the Dems are acting like spineless Republicans... They found GOD in the trash can and put him back
in... Wishy Washy.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

I believe the order which was voted on also said they should recognize Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel, and here I thought we had bigger problems to worry about here at home   Watching these conventions should be clear it is nothing more then a big suck up to certain races, groups, and religions to get their votes.

I watched some of the Rep convention and have watched some of the Dem one yesterday. They both "use" people to
get votes

With God not on the platform until today after outrage now i understand the dem/rep abortion issue more and it stinks.

With so many methods of birth contol out there there is NO reason for abortions except in cases of rape/incest. And in
those cases there is the morning after pill which in most cases stops conception.

Instead of threads about the republican or democratic war on woman it should be the war on babies : (

It's good that they did drop God from the platform....I didn't think it proper to be equating/invoking god....

shame on them....now we know they are muck like the rest of us....

just adult zygotes mushing around in this earthly mud.....not much there either

That was total BS.

There wasn't even a detectable majority.

Not even close to two thirds.

Are you shocked by this, at the RNC convention they had the results shown on the screen before Boner even took the votes.

I've got to agree with you on that one - calling for a vote THREE TIMES?  That sounds like how they ram the school district budget votes down our throats.

Total BS.

Obama wanted God put back in because he was taking a lot of flak from people on his campaign tour.

Shouldn't this thread be titled 'DNC's War on Jews'?

DNC chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) says the omission of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the word God in the party platform was a "technical oversight" because it is "many pages long."

CNN reporter: "You're one of the most prominent Jewish lawmakers, how did you feel when you learned that the platform omitted Jerusalem as the capital of Israel."

Debbie Wasserman Schultz: "Well, really, it was essentially a technical oversight. President Obama, because he personally believes that Jerusalem is and always should remain the capital of Israel, he made sure we amended the platform so it would reflect his personal view, as well as reflect the language that we had in the platform in 2008."

Wasserman Schultz uses the excuse that the platform was "many pages long":

CNN reporter: "How was it overlooked?"

Wasserman Schultz: "You know, look, platforms are many pages long. The bottom line is that we've taken steps. We've amended it. President Obama felt it was important to reflect his person view and it's done and we're moving forward and continuing this convention."
