From what I have seen so far - the Republican Convention has been great.  I absolutely loved the speeches by Senator Santorum, Governor Christie, Governor Haley, and Ann Romney.

For me the highlight of the Republican convention was the rain out on the first day.  It was inspiring!
To think... the GOP is SO BAD, that even GOD wanted to end their convention.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Your attitude - being happy that a hurricane was threatening the US mainland on the scheduled first day of the GOP Convention - is PRECISELY the reason that so many Americans ... Democrats included ... are fed up with the Democratic National Committee and Democrat officeholders at the national level.  There was some idiot national-level Democrat publicly hoping that the hurricane would hit Tampa and drown all the Republicans --- such comments are pathetic and shameful.

Let me say this in very clear simple words -- NO DECENT, RESPECTABLE AMERICAN WISHES ILL OR HARM TO ANOTHER AMERICAN .. PERIOD.   There are no exceptions to this rule (like "except for people of a different political party". )

I hope and pray that both parties have good conventions every 4 years, that all who attend are safe and healthy and that our country can avoid hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters during these quadrennial events.

You totally put your politics into my post DVOR... Read my post.  I made no mention of any
harm to any one.  I simply enjoyed a shortened convention with less than scheduled BS from the Republicans.

If you read harm... it's in your mind, not my post.

Funny thing -- the media is very quiet about Obama partying to raise campaign dollars while the hurricane is ravaging the Gulf Coast.

BTW -- My personal opinion is that cancelling the convention or cancelling fundraising events would not stop the hurricane or reduce the damage it inflicts one iota.   What I am incensed about is the HYPOCRISY AND FOOLISHNESS of national-level Democrats attacking the Republicans on this matter.

I will not turn on either convention.  I will not give them the satisfaction of the ratings.  Don't vote, tune out, that is how you change the illegitimate system.  The democrat party is slowly waking up to the charade going on in their own party.  DVOR, who I assume is a pretty staunch democrat, recognizes there is something wrong.  Too bad his response is to support the other con men.

The Democrat convention is much like the Republican one... a distraction.  No real value... the players are all
determined long before the nomination... Both are kind of pointless.
