To sum up the entire GOP Tampa Convention in one pic:

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Former GOP Chairman Michael Steele agrees with me... Lots of Blacks and Hispanics on stage...
Few in the audience:

TAMPA, Fla. -- As the Republican National Convention drew to a close, Michael Steele, the party's
former chair, said that his party needed to do a better job of outreach to communities of color,
and that the rhetoric around voter ID laws was a detriment to those efforts.

The party offered plum prime-time speaking spots to people of color, including two well-received
speeches from former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez.
But Steele said that he was disappointed at the contrast between the podium and the delegates in
attendance.

"There were a lot of people of color on the stage, but my problem is that there weren't any on the
floor," Steele told The Huffington Post on Thursday. "That's where the rubber hits the road."

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Romney's Speech Falls Short of McCain Audience
Nielsen data shows Mitt Romney's speech at the GOP convention averaged 30.3 million viewers,
about 22% short of the nearly 39 million who tuned in for Sen. John McCain across nine networks
four years ago.

My opinion is that it has little to do with the candidates and more to do with peoples growing disdain with the American political system.  I would bet that the Democrat convention will receive less viewing than 4 years ago.

Cable News Ratings Fall Across the Board, From Fox to MSNBC
By BILL CARTER

Is a presidential election a turnoff to news viewers, even those who generally like to hear political opinions reflected in cable news shows?

In what seems an incongruous development, the month of May — in the middle of what is shaping up as a close presidential campaign — generated some of the worst recent ratings for cable news television.

That included the dominant leader in that category, Fox News. The ratings for some of its top programs declined to their lowest levels since the last presidential election year.

Of course for CNN, which trails Fox News badly across the board, the ratings news is consistent — as in consistently dreadful — with several of its prime viewing hours, including the 7 p.m. shows and 9 p.m. shows, attracting the smallest audiences in that channel’s history.

MSNBC also recorded sharp falloffs in viewing compared to last May.
MSNBC was down 26 percent from a year ago in the category of most importance to news channels, viewers between the ages of 25 and 54 (the group news advertisers pay to reach).

May 2011 was considered a newsy month, because the raid that killed Osama bin Laden was a hot subject.

Fox News also had some steep declines since last May. It was down about 21 percent in prime time in the 25-to-54 group. News about the political race has apparently not sent viewers flocking to get either the Fox News or MSNBC take (considered polar opposites) on events this spring.

What is especially noteworthy about the Fox numbers is that for several shows, including those hosted by Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren, they are at their lowest since the summer of 2008. That was the last time the White House was up for grabs.

and at the same time remember ---- you are NOT me.....just elected monkeys rubbing elbows....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Republicans appear to
have turned the corner

An extraordinary event happened on Aug. 30 and 31. While watching the Republican National Convention, I was privileged to view something historic. I witnessed the birth of a party.
What I saw was a vibrancy and image the Republican Party has rarely had in recent history. This is not the party of [Sens.] Barry Goldwater, John McCain and [former House Speaker] Newt Gingrich. The stodgy established guard have been shown the exit door.
Gone was the hate speech directed toward immigrants. Gone were the references to wall building and isolation. References to our nation as the shining beacon of light, because we are the melting pot of the world, were clear and abundant. What replaced the negativity were positive and clear statements as to how to redirect and rebuild our nation to prepare for and lead in the 21st century.
The new breed has arrived and is taking the party by storm. What I saw reminded me of the Kennedy/Nixon campaign of 1960. JFK ushered in a new breed, philosophy and compassion. The parallels are astounding. Faith-based, fact-based, goal-oriented with a long-range vision and concise plan to achieve success.
Make no mistake, the election is about one thing only: jobs. Get our fi scal house in order and then we can tackle our social issues. It’s akin to building a house. You need a clear set of plans and you can’t build a house from the roof down. You need a solid foundation in order to support your structure, and economic stability unleashed by America’s driving entrepreneurial spirit is that structure.
This election is about survival of the people, survival of the economy, survival of our nation, period. It’s time to return to the vision of our Founding Fathers, our Constitution and our destiny.

LMAO, I guess he missed the part where they ruled the delegate process for future elections useless, or the fact the GOP has been trying to block out 3rd party runs in some states, yeah that is what our founders wanted
