While these guys put their life on the line... some of the posters here cut them down daily... sitting safely
behind their keyboard.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Yes, you provide shelter for people.  They build the government schools and courthouses.  We should have parades every time a construction worker dies sacrificing his/her life building one of our government monuments.

Does that come with a 21 nailgun salute

When you die in a construction accident, or in a car wreck, it was just that... an accident.  No one stabbed you,
or shot at you on purpose.   I'm sure that difference is obvious, but some on the board don't seem to care.

thanks for the pic L4L!!! while the liberal nut jobs are building up the old alco location......the residents are experiencing the historical high crime rate and historical high taxes and a historically substandard school and a historically created subculture!!!

Looks like Nero is still fiddling, eh?

Lol...The federal government sells guns to the drug cartels, the cartels give them to the American drug dealers, whose drug houses are then raided by the police, and a police officer gets shot.  Yup, shot on purpose, by guns sold to drug dealers by the government, enforcing useless drug laws for a non-violent crime.

Schenectady residents put their lives on the line every day dodging bullets from both sides.

Schenectady is bankrupt due to the cost of the war on targeted neighborhoods.

I considered posting the pile of boarded up houses too.

I'm left remembering the Mohawk Indians that were killed and displaced so that we could replace them with Gangstaland.

War zone.

Guns, drugs violence.

Police solution?

Add more guns and violence to their side.

Gangsta solution?

Add more guns and violence to their side.

Result? Bigger, more violent, war zone each year.

More aggressive behavior works so well across the country.

Not a war zone

Nice going, lots of those pictures are not even of Schenectady and many are from the same incident. That's what I like, an honest dialogue.

Positive change evident at Schenectady PD

Usually you only hear negative things about the Schenectady police. Having lived here my entire life, I have more than my fair share of stories. But I would like to acknowledge the efforts of two offi cers who recently went above and beyond to help me and my family out.
My teenage son has Asperger’s Syndrome, which contributed to a highly charged emotional outburst, during which he implied that he was going to harm himself. By the time Offi cers Timothy Rizzo and Peter Montalto arrived, my son had calmed down and was no longer in any danger. They spoke with him, and then talked with my wife and myself until they were confident that the situation was resolved.
During the conversation, I had mentioned that I was looking to get my son involved in a particular group, but had been unable to locate any contact information for the group. Several hours later, Offi cer Rizzo appeared at my window fl ashing his flashlight (so as not to wake my daughter) and gave me the information I had been looking for.
Neither officer looked old enough to drive, but they certainly proved that this isn’t your father’s Schenectady Police Department. Kudos and many thanks.
