The article says that the volunteer group spends $45,000 a year maintaining the garden.  That money is not coming from the city budget.

Central Park is another example of DEM moron "progress", The tennis courts used to the best in the area. Now nobody will pay to play on broken asphalt. A lot of things in Schenectady used to be. Litter, graffiti, pit bulls, Lumpy Kosiur's Holiday Camp, summer feeding center, a real dumping grounds. It's so bad the greenhouse can't be kept open. Central Park must be turned over to the County for proper maintenance. The City is too busted to maintain this former jewel. Keep the DEM implosion going!
