Cicero - it's regrettable and irresponsible behavior in the park.  Like I said the bar is a completely different story.

I just don't think you can categorize the fight along witha lot of other far more serious behaviors.

It's not only the fight but also the community reaction to the fight.  Same as with the bar fight and mugging, it wasn't just the action of one person.  The community as a whole seems to accept and encourage this behavior.  It was being cheered on by adults.  They are unable to police their own neighborhoods through peer pressure.  There is nobody with a moral sense of right and wrong.  They only respond to police sirens.

There may be different degrees of this behavior, but it starts with the acceptance of simple assault and escalates from there.  I've never lived in a neighborhood where two men fought in the middle of the street while 20+ people watched and commentated.

It is a societal problem for sure. It started a few decades ago when the government decided to take the place of GOD ALMIGHTY....We are now 'one nation under 'GOV ALMIGHTY'.......next came the breakdown of the family unit, the feminist movement, legalizing abortion, redefining marriage, no jobs, high taxes, corrupt government.....and the list goes on and on and on!
The government started it decades ago.......and they apparently can't resolve it. It's pandora's box!

Same goes for the city of schenectady. The government corruption has overflowed to it's substandard residents. This behavior went unchecked for years with no police or government oversight. They were too busy negotiating contracts and lining the pockets of the 'friends and family' club, while building an unsustainable empire.

Always been hard times for some people in the city with high taxes etc. But with the escalating violence and no hope
on the horizon it's not worth staying.

value is where it's at....

WHAT IS THE VALUE FOR OUR TAXES SPENT....especially when the leaders we elect keep promoting---

"don't worry elect me and I will make you have value as long as I am in office"

very sad salespersons they are(our leaders)

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

We need to focus on getting rid of CHick-A-Fil to protect the kids from bad values!

I drove down Erie Blvd late one night and under the bridge by Mikes hot dogs a guy was punching a girl in the head as he held her by her long hair. I stopped and asked her if she wanted help, they both came at me screaming mind your own business you fat fXXk. I replied, beat each other senseless, I don't care, and drove away.

Just another touching story of life in Schenectady.

Whenever I hear about a pathetic and sad female woodchuck who was sadly attacked and beaten up and hospitalized by her woodchuck BF, and they create a facial reconstruction fund or some such other business, I always wonder how much the female woodchuck was into "bad boys!" LMAO! Cops go to arrest a woodchuck for beating his old lady and the old lady is liable to put a chef's knife into the officer's back as they arrest the guy shouting "LEAVE MY MAN ALONE!!!!!!" I know one who had his hand bitten by a girl woodchuck so bad he had broken bones while he was arresting her perp BF!
