PITTSFIELD - Two of the three dogs implicated in an attack on a 9-year-old boy in Pittsfield two months ago will be relocated to a private residence in Schenectady, N.Y., according to a settlement between the owners and the city.
The third dog was euthanized on Friday morning, according to court documents. The dogs' owners, Adam Pollack and Lori Rohde of Pittsfield, had agreed to euthanize Diablo during a court hearing last week.
A hearing on the fate of the two dogs took place Monday in Central Berkshire District Court after the city looked at new information on Zeus and Cleopatra that had been compiled by Pollack and Rohde.

Under terms of the settlement, Zeus and Cleopatra will be relocated from Pollack and Rohde's home in Pittsfield to a residence at 652 Orchard St. in Schenectady, a single-family home. The identity of the home's residents could not be determined as of presstime. .....
Uh, hello, the owner of 652 Orchard St is who? Adam Pollack. He has a STAR exemption on the house and a disabled exemption. Those of us who are homeowners and taxpayers, and understand it, will understand that Adam Pollack would have to LIVE in the house in order to get the exemptions. With the exemptions, he pays taxes for city and county using an "with exemption" value of just $20,000. He pays no school taxes whatsoever.
To continue reading, about keeping the dogs contained, does his house have the yard completely fenced in? Will he have to notify his homeowner's insurance company about the dogs and have them added on, IF he has homeowner insurance? By virtue of the disabled exemption he clearly has a very low income, from where is he going to pay for a fence if there is non now? Will neighbors be notified? Why is this not in the Schenectady paper?
Many unanswered questions that the homeowners and taxpayers of the city, as well as innocent residents have a birthright entitlement to have answers to.

So basically Pittsfield just wanted the dogs out of their state.....yes?
And basically their punishment was to... 1. kill one dog off.....and....2. get the hell out of the state with the other 2 dogs!!!
Just goes to show ya how smart some folks are at beating the system here in SCUMnectady. When a SCUMnectadians dog attacks somone, by the time the cops get there, the owners are famous for saying......'not my dog. owner came and took it out of state'!!!!
Would be interesting to hear how these dogs ended up in Pittsfield and how long they resided there, huh?

His will not notify his insurance company because if he does, his policy will be cancelled ASAP.
Also, under "Concealment or Fraud", if an insured "intentionally concealed or misrepresented any material fact or circumstance"...the insurance company will not provide coverage for the 'insured'.
Therefore, whomever is bitten by one of these dogs will have to sue Mr. Pollack for recovery...kinda' like it is now....there are more empty pockets for victims.
This info was from the claims reps at my insurance company, New York Central Mutual.
Way to go Schenectady....a place where there are victims without recourse.
