Prior to [GOP presidential candidate Mitt] Romney picking Rep. Paul Ryan as his vice president, I thought it would have been a terrible mistake because the Democrats would demagogue Paul to no end. After Romney picked him, I realized that Romney means business, and is out to do the right thing for this country. His pick could not have been a better one. I can say without qualifi cation, both men are exactly what this country needs. Both have high morals, display honesty, sincerity, trustworthy, are very religious, and on top of all that, very intelligent. We must do all we can to get them in office. I can’t imagine what this country will be like if Obama gets re-elected.
Former Bush adviser Mark McKinnon on Mitt Romney's choice of Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate:
I think it's a very bold choice. And an exciting and interesting pick. It's going to elevate the campaign into a debate over big ideas. It means Romney-Ryan can run on principles and provide some real direction and vision for the Republican Party. And probably lose. Maybe big."

Yes, Republicans want to murder people and steal their money. High school educated people are easy to fool. Lets make more silly pictures. Minorities don't need an education, because if they get educated then they won't able to be as easily bullschitted.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Graham is so jealous because I'm so successful with JUST a high school education. His envy shows on every post! Poor man!

Let me begin by stating that I don't necessarily agree with every part of Congressman Ryan's budget proposal. Having said that --- I think that Congressman Ryan has shown true leadership by actually coming up with a budget proposal that reduces federal spending and begins to put us on a course to reduce the federal deficit and national debt.
I haven't seen ANY actual budget proposal from any of Congressman Ryan's critics/opposition. We have already gone 3 years without a budget even being passed. In the same time, our federal government added 5 trillion dollars to the national debt. The critics/opposition are basically proposing that we do NOTHING to address either the spending problem or the debt problem --- and --- in my humble opinion - doing nothing is NOT a viable or supportable position.
So on Election Day, vote to choose the team that actually has a plan to DO SOMETHING. There will be time enough and opportunity enough to debate and fine-tune the specifics then. We can't afford to reelect a the team that proposes we do nothing at all.

DVOR want's us to vote for a team who will tax the poor and middle class in order to give the rich another tax cut. Kinda like George Worst Bush's third term.

That is not actually what I said. I said that we need a plan to cut government spending, balance the budget and start to reduce the national debt. Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan have at least articulated a plan -- their critics have not put forth any plan and have only criticized and unfairly demonized the plans put forth by their opponents.
Are the plans put forth by Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan the best ways to address the problems? Probably not - but so far those are the only plans that anyone has had the guts to put on the table. Democrats can't run a campaign of demonizing the Republican's proposals without offering a viable alternative --- and, once again, doing nothing but spend more and increasing the debt more IS NOT a viable alternative.

The american folks are getting sick and tired of reading and hearing about obama's golf outings, michelle's expensive jacket, or romeny's religion or the rest of the bullcrap!! It's all just a lame stream diversion and the american folks are already getting their fill of 'reality tv' from hollywood!!
And just because 2 men in a room are proposing 'at least something' doesn't mean they deserve my vote!! THIS TIME.....we need more than that!! And as far as medicare cuts......anyone who is in the medical field, or is on medicare or knows folks who are, are VERY well aware that obamacare has cut more from medicare than anytime in history.......but you won't hear that from the lame stream media!! Obamacare is unsustainable....so they are robbing peter(medicare) to pay paul(obamacare)! And yes folks........the seniors will suffer greatly unless obamacare is repealed.
What 'two men in a room' can promise and deliver that?????

Former Reagan budget director David Stockman rips the budget framework proposed by Rep. Paul Ryan:
"The Ryan Plan boils down to a fetish for cutting the top marginal income-tax rate for 'job creators' -- i.e. the superwealthy -- to 25 percent and paying for it with an as-yet-undisclosed plan to broaden the tax base. Of the $1 trillion in so-called tax expenditures that the plan would attack, the vast majority would come from slashing popular tax breaks for employer-provided health insurance, mortgage interest, 401(k) accounts, state and local taxes, charitable giving and the like, not to mention low rates on capital gains and dividends. The crony capitalists of K Street already own more than enough Republican votes to stop that train before it leaves the station."
"In short, Mr. Ryan's plan is devoid of credible math or hard policy choices. And it couldn't pass even if Republicans were to take the presidency and both houses of Congress. Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan have no plan to take on Wall Street, the Fed, the military-industrial complex, social insurance or the nation's fiscal calamity and no plan to revive capitalist prosperity - - just empty sermons."

That's because he can't rip the framework of the Obama budget - THERE ISN'T ONE.
I know that 97 Senators ripped the proposed Obama budget already. It was a bipartisan NO VOTE.
Getting back to DVOR's point that: " Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan have at least articulated a plan" and " so far those (Romney/Ryan) are the only plans that anyone has had the guts to put on the table."
According to Paul Ryan yesterday: The Romney campaign is willing to discuss its proposals on taxes "in the light of day, -- just not until after the election.

It is not enough to support them just because they have proposed something. But the fact remains that 3 1/2 years into his presidency, the incumbent president and his supporters in Congress are still blaming his predecessor but refusing to actually come up with a viable solution. No budget passed in over 3 years. No plan to cut the deficit. No accountability for the billions spent on the bailouts and stimulus. Lots of talk about borrow billions more on another stimulus. It is my opinion that we can't afford another 4 years of inaction on the real problems and just throwing billions of dollars down the hole on ideas that haven't worked.
As for taxes, I support support keeping the Bush era tax cuts --- it doesn't make sense to raise taxes in a sluggish economy --- while beginning bi-partisan work on real tax reform. Ultimately, I think we should have a flat tax without any loopholes or gimmicks.
Furthermore, real tax reform must be coupled with real budget reform which would include a balanced budget amendment --- and once and for all dealing with the structural issues within the federal budget that keep it unbalanced.
