Cicero is so naive... I wonder if he thought that VP candidate Sarah Palin was faking it when she thought that the North Koreans were our allies?
I wonder if Cic thought that Palin was faking it when she said that Saddam Hussein attacked us at the WTCon Sept 11th?
Bimbo Palin had a box full of "Palin Truths" that only she believed.  Yea, she was that dumb... as is Todd Akin.

I wouldn't be surprised if Palin was faking the Hussein WTC comment to dupe ignorant people into believing it in order to perpetuate the Iraq War.  If you know anything about rhetorical oratory, you understand that you have to speak a certain way to persuade a certain audience.  Not saying Palin was acting when she said these things, but it isn't so far out there that she may have been cast for exactly that - persuading ignorant people.

In my opinion, the Akin comment comes as part of an effort to bring to light an issue that would eventually be brought out to damage Paul Ryan.  The Republicans are going on the offensive to polarize and isolate the "war on women" issue in an attempt to reframe the debate.  Obama has been beating him pretty well in that demographic.  It seems as if the Republican leaders have come out in an orchestrated way to address and condemn this.  I think they are martyring Akin in an attempt to push back on the Obama "war on women" campaign.  Remember box, this isn't meant to persuade you and far left liberal women, but rather more conservative/independent women.

Hey, you can continue with the democrat good - republican bad and belive that candidates are candid and public statements random and not scripted by attorneys and political strategists.  You are a True Believer as described by Eric Hoffer.

so let me get this straight...

Dems have fluff and stuff ideas about loving your neighbor through magical social welfare systems(like a church)

Reps have fluff and stuff ideas about procreating through magical social welfare systems(like church)

embryo = person

lazy person = welfare

although I am for abortion being legal...I am COMPLETELY in disagreement with both parties and the growth of magical forests....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Palin REALLY IS THAT DUMB!

Wrong categorizing of me and wrong in your statement of my beliefs.......but for crying out loud, you whine that the whole world is one huge Hollywood scripted conspiracy. I simply cannot believe how anyone can have that totally deep rooted belief...is anything for real? Are you for real or are you some conspiratory alter ego of an alien from another world trying to undermine our world to create fear so your world can take over ours for the water your world needs to survive?

A new Pew Research survey finds 72% have heard a lot or a little about Rep. Paul Ryan's proposal to
change Medicare into a program that would give future participants a credit toward purchasing private
health insurance coverage. And among those who are aware, the idea remains unpopular; by a 49%
to 34% margin more oppose than favor the idea.

I've never said a "Hollywood conspiracy", I am pointing out the professional con men cons.  This isn't Hollywood, please don't tell me this is the first of you hearing about the lying, cheating, corrupt, megalomaniacs that occupy our government and political system?

We sit here as we go back and forth pointing out the lies that each  party has perpetuated on the American public.  Each person picking a political side and leveling charges against what they believe to be the other political side. We talk about GWB invading Iraq based on lies, killing hundreds of thousand of human beings, we talk about Obama assassinating American citizens without due process of law, we talk about Obama giving $500 million to the now bankrupt Solyndra, we talk about our government selling automatic weapons to Mexican drug cartels, we talk about the 1% and the 99%, and yet, in my lifetime, the same 1% is still the same 1%, NO MATTER WHICH PARTY WAS IN OFFICE, we talk about scandals of congressmen and women whose campaigns have been financed by the same 1%, caught enriching themselves in advance of upcoming legislation they are privy to.  And all the countless examples over the past 100 years of lying, cheating, corrupt, power mad people governing this country that I don't have time to list....BUT...Suggesting that a political party would purposely contrive a story to fool the voting public for a long term campaign advantage is so far out of character of what our honest, red white and blue, patriotic public servants would do, that it must be a crazy conspiracy.

When you say "is anything real", I say YES!  Our government has a very real history of lying, cheating, stealing, and killing on a massive scale.  To suggest that there is a shred of honesty in anything they do would be insane.

That is what I said.  Palin is probably really "that dumb"(you words).  My point was, she may have been selected because of her simpleness and her ability to connect with simple and ignorant people.  I was actually partially agreeing with you.  It isn't conspiracy but strategy.

I think we all know that there is lying, cheating and corruption in our government and political system.
Cic seems to think that there is no honest government... and ALL of it is corrupt.

Box, our government invaded Iraq on what you claim was manipulated intelligence.  Hundreds of thousands of people died.  Officials from both parties voted for the use of force.  We have been in Afghanistan for 11 years with tens if not hundreds of thousands of additional deaths and no defined objective.  How do you find honesty in that?

Notice if you will, the subject changed by the board-iberal to Sarah Palin.  Just like his continued ranting about George Bush, now he's going back to some else in the past.

It must be awful lonesome living in the past, not in the present.
