Republicans slowly warming to gay marriage

In the latest Post polling, 61 percent of Republicans think gay marriage should be illegal, compared with
36 percent of independents and 25 percent of Democrats. Overall, 53 percent of Americans think gay
marriage should be legal, according to the most recent Post polling, while only 39 percent think it
should be illegal.
Since March, the number of Republicans who think gay marriage should be legal has declined 10 points
from 39 percent to 29 percent, to about where it was last year.
Among Republicans ages 18 to 44, the numbers are far different and evolving far more quickly
— opinion is currently evenly divided at 46 percent.

Still, it’s clear that gay marriage opposition is (slowly) on its way out, even among Republicans.

I think box got a similar boner when he thought Rush Limbaugh was losing sponsors and thought it was some watershed moment changing the course of history.

"Most people think that you've got to reduce sales a lot, but if you reduce any company's sales from two to five
per cent you've won. Having said that, it is very hard to reduce a company's sales by five per cent because it
takes a massive degree of organisation.”
Ralph Nader (Co-op America, 1989).

A 40% reduction is a huge success!

It's the free enterprise system... I can spend my dollars where I choose... and I choose to boycott
bigots.

Obviously your poor education and inability to comprehend makes it impossible for you to understand that the outrage comes not from consumers "choosing" to patronize and establishment or not; it comes from a local political leader/councilman/mayor/boss/kommissar/gauleiter DECIDING that a business will NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPEN (or expand) within a certain political subdivision strictly because the owner has differing political or religious views from said "leader" or political party in power. That means YOU don't get to choose, because the UBER-GOVERNMENT FETISHISTS HAVE MADE THAT PERVERTED DECISION FOR YOU, Boxy.

In the instance of both teh City of Boston and the City of Chicago, political kommissars have publicly declared that said company will not be welcomed to participate economically within their bounds. Just like a good Nazi Gauleiter, Oberfuhrer Emmanuel of the Sonderkommando declares Chicago off-limits to Chick-a-fil co. based on the beliefs of the CEO. Kommissar Menino did likewise in Boston!

Imagine if a Jew had tried to expand in Dusseldorf, Florian would have had the veto, or if it were in Berlin itself some member of the Volkspartei had wanted to open a brat stand, gauleiter Goebbels himself would have squashed it! If the non-party member in Bavaria wanted to sell Pretzels, Geissler would have had his bureaucrats end that scheme. Lets face it: the values of the Jews, the Lutherans and the Social Democrats were NOT the value of Germany once 1933 came and went and the gauleiters made that clear!  Stopped in their tracks they would be, as they are in Chicago and in Boston. All citizens needed to be pure of conviction to the reigning philosophy (isn't that tolerance?) and the gauleiters had jobs to do then as they do today! There can be NO dissent!

THAT is the new reigning SOVIET PARTY- THE DEMOCRAPS!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Poor Graham.

All that time and money spent on his college education...
And that's the best he can do.

I guess Graham isn't totally useless... He can always serve as a bad example.

Right, you are hoping to be a gauleiter yourself someday! Round up those you don't agree with, or perhaps stop them from participating and making a living. I know your type, because your type has tried that sh*t with me before!

Apparently they were successful.  You are still bitter.

Nadar said 2%-5% reduction in SALES.  You are comparing that with a 40% drop in BRAND INDEX.  You are mixing your propaganda again.  The average 10th grader probably wouldn't pick up on that.

He doesn't even understand statistics. When all of this is over, their sales will be up 10% for the quarter compared with last year.

What's so funny about this issue is that it's being driven much more by Right Wing outrage than it is by
those leading the boycotted.
Notable Republicans like Palin, The Huxter and Rick Santorum have succeeded in keeping this story in
the news cycle and adding to it's success.   The more they whine, the more Americans join the boycotte.

A Christian pastor recently recalled a time when “a Christian perspective ultimately brought the death penalty
upon homosexuality” and suggested that Muppet characters Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy deserved the
same for breaking with Chick-fil-A over the company’s opposition to LGBT rights.

During his Friday radio broadcast, Kevin Swanson said he wanted to see “Miss Piggy on a bun” because
The Muppets had dumped Chick-fil-A after restaurant founder Dan Cathy insisted the company was
“guilty as charged” of funding anti-LGBT organizations.

The majority of thinking people could care less about a voluntary boycott.  The problem is with the government banning a business from opening a location in Chicago because the government didn't agree with the CEO's personal beliefs.

Just more evidence of the fascist nation we live in.

The "GOVERNMENT" banned them??? Not some local mayor voicing his opinion???

As to your comment about the USA and the Right Wing Fascist Nation... I agree.

More proof that the Dems only believe in the constitution when it fits their needs.
