heard two dogs barking and yelping, go look out and two pit bulls fighting really bad : ( One on a leash, one not. The "owners" were trying to seperate them. The woman grabbled hers by the hind leg and dragged it and then proceeded to pull it down the road by one leg I called police described situation and they came fast, were talking to her on the corner. She had two pit bulls in her front yard which has a chain link fence but maybe four feet high, not enough to contain the dogs.
I went over and woman got upset with me, oh well, I can't stand to hear anyone or anything in pain.
Police came over near my house and said animal control will handle it.
At least the guy had his on the leash, I think hers jumped the fence and fight happened. I think she's pissed I called but maybe now she will understand her fence is not enough to hold her dogs. I just thank God it wasn't a kid being attacked.
Glad you got a respond. A freind of ours who lives in the woodlawn area had their car broken into a couple of nights ago. (also their neighbors). They said that they have been calling the spd for 2 days now.............and the phone just rings...............and rings..................and rings!
They said they didn't dial 911 because it wasn't an 'emergency'.............but have reconsidered and said that they 'will' call 911 to report it and explain that if they answered their 'other phone'.........folks wouldn't have to use the 911 number.

Too bad that we post comments, things that are evidence of secrets of mis-use of the taxpayers' money spent on downtown, and provide the evidence that the wild spending on downtown is not helping the city (but rather increasing taxes on the financially struggling, and bringing down property values and causing a reduction in the tax base in the city), and certain posters say we are being negative. Negative just because we are staying the truth? Do they not want to face the truth? Ignore all the problems and they will go away. Choose to call us terrorists, and tell us go to F ourselves.
Perhaps if certain posters would actually write actually post about the issues instead of "more needs to be done" (which of course means spend more taxpayer money) it would be an improvement. Perhaps if certain posters would provide proof to support their statements.
But if some don't like anonymity, then they should just write to their representatives--whether local, state, or federal level, and suggest that a law is passed to mandate that anyone who uses the internet must provide their identification (along with proof). yep, dictate to the citizens, that's the communist way, just like the government "businesses" downtown.
