I am not adverse to living in the city but I have my resources invested in income producing properties elsewhere. Maybe if the the right property came up for sale - I would sell the other properties and buy a house in the city. Personally, I would prefer a property in the Stockade .. not interested in the GE plot. I notice that the old Yates House is up for sale .. but I prefer a traditional town house.
STOCKADE TOWN HOUSE FOR SALE, ONLY $60,000 (price just reduced). Notice it says taxes just $1,600 per year - low assessment value. WOW.
Perfect for DV, his chosen location, his chosen style, walking distance to downtown, he claims the city is in a renaissance, so that $60,000 will triple in no time for sure.
Look at what it has! Living room, eat-in kitchen, formal dining room, 1.5 baths, a master suite, an office/den, a deck, ample parking, no need to mow lawns, no need to carry out trash, no need to shovel, no need to do outside work of any kind. Spend his days strolling through downtown. taking in the sights, sitting by the river, or taking a leisurely walk to visit McC. Ooh, maybe even volunteer to do some cleaning the grounds around city hall.
Is it perfect for an adult to bring over that special someone to spend the night. (LOL)
Let's see if the cuckoo bird puts his money where his mouth is. Extraordinarily low price---and with the so called "renaissance" he claims the city is in then he would know this is a wonderful investment because he'll reap a fortune as the value will go up so fast, ya know---because the city is in this wonderful renaissance; the mayor and metroplex are continuing with the miracle that the savage and the mayor of BS was doing, right? And mortgage rates less than 4%. Let's see now. Asking $60,000, negotiate the price down some, then 10% down, and at 4% for just 15 years that's under $700 a month with taxes and HOA. A 10 year mortgage would be about $835 a month and heck, make one extra payment a year, that would whittle it down to paying it off in nine years. Then of course selling all those income producing properties should allow him to pay cash.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
Now let's see, wonder what the mandatory financial disclosure form says for income.
Disclosure?
What is disclosed in ethics laws? NOTHING, it's all kept secret
Big bird will never leave the nest

if it has a closet for his blow up doll and him...hmmm...maybe?
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
My numbers above, using an asking price of $60,000 and negotiating down to about $55,000 and figuring 10% down and 4%
By reviewing the records of the county, the unit for sale can only be one of four units. The market value, according to the city, for these four units ranges from about $44,000 to $54,000. So obviously the seller is asking more than what the place is worth, so it will be extremely easy to negotiate down, especially if DV gets a real good agent. Of course some of us know who his agent would likely be.
So a couple bits of even better news.
First National Bank of Scotia has a 15 yr rate of just 2.875. So again, with 10% down and negotiating the price down based on what the city claims is the market value, his monthly expense (principal, interest, HOA, and taxes) would range from only $580 to $650.
Maybe he would not even need to place taxes in escrow. Also, I don't think he would pay that dreaded trash fee to the city. Not sure how the sewer and water fees are done, that is, included in HOA? Of course, DV should have the intelligence to find out the answer to that
Another thing is he wouldn't even need to spend money for appliances. It comes with range+oven, dishwasher, and also a washer + dryer (in a separate closet)
Could he ask for anything better????? I mean, really, it meets each one of his wants in his own place.
But, we all know, he won't comment on this, he'll never explain to us how good of an investment that condo price should be given the renaissance he claims his happening.
Well, maybe he'll say it's not decorated to his taste. Gee, if he gets one of those taxpayer-helped mortgages with the help of his buddy McC, he could renovate, wow.
I mean REALLY! What adult male wants to live with two "mommies" ???? Normal adult men want to have their own place.

Oh, it has a closet, yes. And it's got three brooms in it

Wow, DV signed on, posted posts, yet did not address his statement that he wants to buy a condo in the Stockade when presented with EXACTLY the property he wants
